When I started learning web page making down at the cyber Cafe Latte, I asked my computer whiz sister for a home icon. She told me, "Look on the Net. There are plenty of icons out there. You just have to find them." Well, I started looking, and now I'd rather look at graphics on the Net than do anything else. :) The first place I clicked was Judi's Doodlings because my sister sent me the URL of her romantic backgrounds. As I downloaded graphics right and left, I thought, "Now I have everything I need. I've found graphics heaven." From Judi's I found the Mouse Pad and vikimouse graphics which have a childlike home drawn quality. She made the graphics for the Our House page. The playful vikimouse graphics lighten my occasional victorian mood. It's fun to have snowmen all over the place! :) I found the After I download the trial version of Paint Shop Pro, I feel a craving to visit vikimouse at the Mouse Pad. I hope to find a vikimouse graphics project to teach me to make my own graphics. To my wonderment, vikimouse has completely reorganized her site since my last visit. I explore and before you know it, I am downloading everything in sight! More graphics that I can use in a lifetime, but who can choose? Is it hard for you to believe that a year ago I said, " I don't know what a right click is!" When I see an igloo on one of her pages, I feel compelled to write in her guest book, "Could you make me an igloo?" I must have an Alaskan page! I find a bunch of snowmen on her holiday pages, and I remember the site map houses. I put the two together and Voile! The Our House page! When Curtis sees it, he exclaims, "Wow! That's really cool, Mom! But where's the guy falling through the deck?" LOL  "Draw me one, and I'll put him on there!" I tell him. I know enough about web page making now that the HTML for the house is not all that difficult. I make some empty pages to see if the links work, and I feel very satisfied with the results. Occasionally I may change the links from the pink page or the red page. You'll never know what you'll get when you click. :) I wonder, "Will visitors know to click on the windows and doors without being told?" The Mouse Pad has gobs of kitchen graphics. I decide to make the blue window link to my kitchen page with wheat-free recipes. While looking at the snowman that I call Todd, I notice two little birds beneath him. I thought they were cowboy boots! LOL I view my home page as a place to learn and build. My head overflows with unfinished ideas. I devour the cool free graphics on the Net. I dart here and there like a kid in an ice cream store. I eagerly anticipate learning to to make my own. :) Nothing perks me up on a dreary winter day more than colorful web graphics. Thanks, Debby! my treasure, for directing me to the Net.
