APRIL

April 26 Portland, OR
WWPA membership drive meeting at Clackamette Park off I-205 at Oregon City. Exit on 99E and go N to Main St. and Clackamette Drive. We also need volunteers to ansxwer questions, show panning techniques, and chat with prospective members of our Portland area chapter.

May 3 Pierce county fairgrounds
Boy Scout Jamboree, Demonstrations of equipment and techniques for gold prospecting for several hundred scouts. Voluteers are badly needed for this event!

MAY

May 4 Arlington
WWPA membership drive meeting at Chris Bartoletta's property near Arlington. Anyone who wants to help with this meeting for our NW chapter please tell us. We need 4-6 more people for this Sunday meeting!

May 17 Chehalis
WWPA monthly meeting at Stan hedwell park west of exit 76 off I-5 in Chehalis. At the open community kitchen from noon to 3pm. Lunch details in the May newsletter!

May 24-27 Blewett Pass
First WWPA outing of the new season! Saturday through Monday (Memorial Day) with a common operation Sat. and Sun. Camping at Mineral Springs CG. We'll have a potluck and the gold split/drawing on Sunday evening with Monday free for individual prospecting and rockhounding. The campground is on Hwy. 97 3 miles north of the Liberty turnoff. Overflow camping, if necessary, at the Swauk CG just 4 miles north of Mineral Springs. $10 for members and $15 for GPAA-only and non-members.

Fort lewis Rock Club & Puyallup Valley Gem & Mineral Club. Follow signs from Exit 120 off I-5. 10-6 both days.

JULY

July 26-27 Tenino, WA
Wash. Agate & Mineral Society. At Tenino Elementary School. Old hwy 99. Sat 10-6. Sun 10-5.
