Tournament Director Responsibilities:
1. Pre-Tournament Work:
a) Assign judges, stats crew, grievance committee.
b) Ensure handicapping of groups with >15% spread.
NOTE: Handicapping is at the Tournament Director' option.
d) Start the Raffle.
2. Call all players to assemble 10 minutes before 10 AM
tournament start.
3. Pledge of Allegiance.
4. Name and History of tournament if available.
5. Welcome all pitchers. Recognize New/Special pitchers.
6. Ask for special announcements
7. Announce tournament specifics:
a) Identify the morning/afternoon Judges.
b) Grievance committee members -- 2 from our club, 1 from visiting club.
c) Number of shoes to pitch each game.
d) How ties are handled -- Play-off/percentage, win/loss etc.
8. Announce that drop-outs MUST notify BOTH the Tournament Director
and the Statitition(s). Drop-outs must also notify the TD/Stat's
upon return to play.
9. Announce observance of the Foul Lines, the 30 Second time limit for
delivery of 2 shoes upon entering the box. Ask that the games
keep moving and to "Have a great time!"
10. Hand out Round-Robin cards.
