Corey and I traveled a couple hours the afternoon before through slush and blustery winds up from Paradise only to get ourselves into a whiteout. We decided to just make camp wherever we were (having no real absolute idea where) hoping the next morning would bring a clearing. Sure enough it did, and what a view at that. We could see Mt. St. Helens, Adams clearly and Mt. Hood faintly through the Portland haze. If we had more time, we would have headed higher, but instead we had a blast slipping down the frozen slopes from the day before.
