On the way up 2200' to Spade Lake via few switchbacks and maddening descents, we encountered a beautiful sunset along the mountain ranges. We saw views of Mt. Rainier and other mountains. As I fought my blisters on the way up, Zirb picked huckleberries for breakfast with our Honeynut Cheerios.
