Mel on a coastal beach

Melinda walking thru the shallow waters at dusk. The picture was taken just out outside of Florence, Oregon. We stayed over night a couple nights in this town to explore the sand dunes and ocean coast line.

Dave tearing up the sand dunes!

Dave in a rental dune buggy on the sand dunes just outside of Florence. For $30.00 US you can rent your own dune buggy and explore the sand dunes. This is a must for all visitors in the area. It was a blast!

Mel having fun in the dunes!
Mel on her dune buggy. We played follow the leader and had races. We got stuck in the sand a few times but always got out. We also flew off a couple of high ridges. On a sunny day when your driving fast on these dune buggies it's hard to see when your going over a hill because the sun reflects off the sand and blinds you.

Mel exploring the cave!
This is a shot in one of the two caves that we explored in Oregon. We travelled a few Km underground. This cave was 2.5 Km long. We went right to the end.

tight spot!!!
In this cave towards the end, the walls started to close in and a few passages had to be crawled through.

To the next summer trip (Baker Lake)
