truck and boat ready to go!
Rigged up and ready to roll!
still in the parking lot!
Rudder is pinned in position for travelling. My solution for a mast crutch is permanently welded to the stern pulpit. Weight of the keel is resting on a roller.
beached in 6 inches of water!
About a week after painting the hull. Two coats of one part polyurethane enamel applied with a brush and roller (picked out a few dead bugs) I was very happy with the final result.
a beautiful sunny day, everybody is out exploring and playing on the beach!
Still have to add some trim and name tags, but it's more fun in the water. Fishing and sailing on four different lakes on a regular basis.
A pic of my sailboat
Here's my original pic taken with a video cam. An old videoblaster was used to grab a frame.
This boat is a San Juan 21

For all you people in foreign countries, that's:
 (20 ft 6 in, 7 ft, 190 ft2, 284 ft2, 25 ft 8 in, 4 ft, 1 ft, and 2000 lbs.)

123o05"W x 55o20"N
Latitude and Longitude - here's a little story about those numbers. Years ago I attempted to learn the fine art of navigation. The instructor mentioned that if, when on the water, one got lost in the fog, one could go ashore and look at the nearest utility pole. You've all seen those little metal tags on utility poles, well, the numbers on those tags tell the utility company where the pole is. So, if you're ever lost in the fog, hug your nearest utility pole and you'll know precisely where you are. I happen to be sitting about 10 meters from those particular numbers.

I love sailing and anything to do with boats. Unfortunately, we have a short season around here, so I do a lot of armchair and internet sailing.
