Howdy...
Firts I currently have 4.5 computers. The .5 because it's not ready yet. One is powered with a Pentium II 333Mhz and 64 MB RAM, another one with a AMD 486 DX4 100Mhz with 32 MB RAM and another one with Cyrix 5x86 166Mhz with 32 MB RAM. The fourth one is a Compaq LTE Elite 4/75 with only 8 MB RAM. All but 1 hard drive are SCSI hard drives so I can swap them from computer to computer. It's easier to replace them when one of the hard drives goes looney. By the way I designed and built all these computers myself (except for the notebook).
Right now I have 1 machine powered by linux. Hopefully I can learn how to set up a server on Linux by myself but right now I only have a peer to peer network set up on 2 of the computers. I have to share one of my machines so it's too far away to network.
I currently live in the basement, the only place where my sister allows me to make any kind of mess. I don't really mind because I only go home from campus to sleep. It's the most efficient way to study, I'm close to my friends & teachers, saves fuel of going back and forth between home & school, and keep the house clean.
I'm in the outdoor neighborhood of Geocities but I still haven't talk anything outdoors, so here it is. I used to go on a 5-10 day backpacking trip twice a year, but alas... I haven't got time to go backpacking since '97. I still hope that I can have 5 days free and not have to worry about being late on something when I get back. When I go backpacking, I like to take scenic pictures, pretty girls included, friendly girls who keeps in contact would be better (Fat chance...). Hopefully I can catch that outdoor picture of a lifetime with one of my cameras.
Speaking about pictures, I'm also an amateur photographer. I got a lot of equipment but no time at all. The special equipment that I have are my slide duplicator and my KIEV 88C medium format camera. Hopefully one day I can get a scanner so my interests can be linked together; Backpacking to Photography to Computers. From nature to high tech.
Well... that's all for now. I have to go back to doing my take home Exam and homework. Hopefully my homepage can spread its wings and show its beauty soon.
