General letter after JOTI

Dear visiter !

We are glad to know that you have visited our JOTI Report.

We are 44 ORUR troop named after Andrew Roublew (a historical orthodox church painter). May be our information is interesting for you.

On JOTI 1997 weekend we had scout meeting in the Communication Centre of our Russian Scout Organization, which called ORUR.

Some Internet fans (members of our troop) were working in JOTI 1997 20 hours (about 10 members of our troop alternating in JOTI for some hours).

We visited different scouts HomePages, we got E-mails and replyed them. Here you can get to know about our JOTI contacts.

OUR GREATEST THANKS TO ALL WHO CONTACTED US DURING THE JOTI WEEKEND. It was the first time when our troop had an opportunity to work in the INTERNET together. After this event we decided to make our own Home Page.

Our troop include the cubs group, which named "White Wolves" (8-11 age, 6 cubs). They participate in hiking and camping with our troop or some another groups. We enjoy going on different hikes and camping.

We have activities and studing games during our meetings. Our organization's cubs-scouts named "Wolves and Brownies" and we have circute training games (like "indian's village" or "spaceman's travellings").

We have also:
3 boy-scout patrols
"Eagles" (16-17 age, 4 scouts), "Sharks" (14-15 age, 3 scouts), "Alligators" (11-14 age, 8 scouts),
1 girl-scouts patrol
"Hairs" (12-17 age, 3 guides)

You can see the ORUR himn, laws, promises, motto of cub-scouts and scouts of our of our organization here.

With best wishes, 44th ORUR troop's members.

RUSSIAN YOUNG PATHFINDERS ORGANIZATION (ORUR)

Since 1909

THE ORUR HYMN

Be prepared, scout, for deeds of honor.
A difficult path lies before you.
So face the unknown, strong and
Cheerful, in body, mind and soul.

The world has much suffering and pain
And the time to act has arrived;
Do not forget your sacred mission:
Stand guard for Truth and Virtue.

Disgrace be on those who, in apathy,
Ignore their brother's cry.
Do not fear hard work and danger;
instead
Believe firmly: you are strong in God.

Help the sick and unfortunate;
Rush to comfort the dying.
And for great and wonderous deeds
Be prepared, scout, be prepared!
