Cream Cheese Cookies
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 egg yolk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 package (18.5 ounce) yellow or devils food cake mix
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Cream butter and cheese. Blend in egg yolk and vanilla. Add cake mix (dry), 1/3 at a time, mix well after each addition. (If mixer is used, add last third of cake mix by hand) cover; chill 30 minutes.
Drop by level teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet. Can be eaten warm or let cool.
