Birds Junco Corn Bread

For your Feathered Friends

3cups cornmeal
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup bacon grease, meat drippings or crisco(in the lard form)
3 cups water

Preheat oven to 375 dregees F.
Mix all ingredients together and bake in a greased 13x9 inch baking pan.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
Reduce heat if bread looks like it is forming a hard crust. Let cool and cut into large pieces.
Place into a mesh bag.(Like the kind that onions come in. Hang from a nearby tree
and watch your feathered friends enjoy themselves.
