MEETING MINUTES:

OLD BUSINESS:

-Regular registration is complete. 25 patrollers and 15 candidates have registered with the Ramstein Patrol for 1997. Late renewal registration will cost an additional $10.

-Ausweis Cards can still be obtained. You will need a passport photo and 5DM. Photo, money, and information: SS#, patrol #, birthdate, should be given to Brian.

-The agreement with Outdoor Recreation is in the final review process. A motion was passed approving the agreement as long as no major changes are recommended in the final review.

-Many members of the patrol still need to refresh OEC and S&T. Contact Brian or Dave Hill if you are in need of refreshing and we will TRY to schedule something.

NEW BUSINESS:

-Advanced "A" was canceled due to lack of interest. There may be another opportunity to have the course later in the year.

PIC REPORTS:

-Admin (Claudia): Start filling in your patrol day forms!! Inputs for awards are due to Claudia NLT March 1. If you know that you will be working for the patrol in March count those days also!

- OEC Coord. (Dave): We still have candidates who need training in Patient Assessment. Let Dave know if you are available to instruct.

- OTH Coord. (Ernie): The number at the Schutzenbach Campground has changed. The new number is 0041-338-551268. Any instructor, patroller, or candidate planning on attending training week-ends needs to call the OTH coordinator no later that the Monday prior to training. This allows the section coordinator to organize training groups and reserve your bed. The OTH Coordinator is Ernie Haglund, 06371-058519. The coordinator for the period of 17 Feb through 2 Mar will be Dave or Claudia Hill, 06375-6887, or Dave 480-7559, or Claudia 480-6573. Attention candidates: The Patrol Director must recommend you for validation (usually his signature on your green card), even for early OEC validations. To get the PD's recommendation, he must have received positive feedback from your trainers that you are ready for validation, and you must have successfully completed at least one upper and one lower OEC scenario on the hill. A

- WORD FROM OUR SECTION CHIEF: OEC Instructors, you are needed at OTH Training, Lauterbrunnen OR Garmisch. Please try to attend as many week-ends as time and money permit. Patrollers are also encouraged to attend to provide some much needed assistance with OTH training.
