Report=Got to the lake about 7 a.m. Fairly crowded today, lots of shore and boat anglers. Could not fish my spot on trout island too many people. had to settle for a tight spot about 75 yards down the bank. Didn't matter. Had my limit by 11:30. Didn't get a trophy today, biggest was about 2-pounds. Most I saw anyone else catch was 2. I was using a short, 2-pound leader with a 3/4 oz. egg sinker and casting out farther than anyone else. The water is shallower here so a farther cast is necessary. Both power bait and nightcrawler seemed to work equally well as long as it was doused with Kick n trout.
