Report=Even though I have done horrible here recently, I continue to return because I used to slam them here about 15 years ago when the new-original owners had it so I know they are for real. Today wasn't a spectacular day for me, but I did get 4 trout between 1 to 1-1/2 pounds which was as good if not better than most people around me. The exciting part was that I saw 5 lunkers landed including one that looked to be around 20 pounds!!! There was also one guy on a float tube that hooked a 10-pound wiper at the inlet that took him for a ride. I also heard a few cheers from the other side of the lake indicating more big fish. Only problem was none of those big fish were mine. I tried Levitz corner in the morning and fished for a few hours there until I got sick of tangling with everyones lines on shore. No action there anyway except for two small ones out of everybody there. Decided to troll for a while using rapalas and leadcore, thinking maybye the big ones went deep. After two passes around the lake decided to ditch that and fish the inlet, which is where I caught all four and saw most of the big ones taken. Around 2:30 action was slow so I headed over to my "old school" spot where I used to nail them. (Just to the right of the tackle shop) Was able to beach the boat because most of the shore guys left. Didn't get any hits there but watched a guy farm what looked to be another big one. It was a nice day anyway, the rental boat made it nice to fish where I want and not have to bump elbows with everybody. (Thanks Craig) One more trout would have made a good rating. I rate my trout fishing like this: All day and 0-2 poor; All day and 3-4 fair; All day and limit- good; Limit in less than 5 hours- excellent. Of course, a 10-pounder makes for an excellent day no matter what else is caught! Next time...
