Report=I don't know what kind of reports are coming out of here or who is posting them but here is an honest one you can all believe. My wife and I got here at 6:30 am. Lake was VERY crowded for a friday. We set up in the small lake and caught two trout each by 12:30, the biggest about 2-pounds. We noticed about the same fate from most other anglers. We did see a total of 5 lunkers caught between 10-14 pounds from various anglers around the lake. From our position, we could see most of the anglers fishing the small lake. I saw no-one catch more than 1 lunker apiece. There seemed to be no real hot spot either. All the big ones were taken from various spots around the lake. When you compare # of anglers to # of lunkers, your chances are pretty slim here but still probably better than anywhere else in So Cal. right now for a trophy trout. Only thing is you have to put up with crowded fishing conditions, freeway scenery, and hundreds of fish-stabbing comorants which dominated the middle of the lake. Often they would come up with a fish, only to lose it because they are too big for them to swallow. Again, two of my fish were badly scarred from birds which I always cut-out the damaged area, leaving me with little meat. I had a hell of a time trying to scare them away from my area, seems every time they come around, the bite stops.

Rating=Poor
