Report=Got here about 6 p.m. for a little evening fishing. The guy in the tackle store said the trout were wide-open today, some guy left with 23 rainbows on m&m's. (currently no-limit on trout) Kind of hard to believe since they have not stocked trout in over a month but we set up in one of my usual trout spots and threw out an assortment of nightcrawlers, mackerel, mealworm/marshmallow and power bait. Within about 1/2 hour I got hit on the nightcrawler and brought up a nice 2-pound largemouth. After that no hits on anything. As night fell, we decided to head over to the deeper water. We tried there until past 10 pm with only one hit on a piece of mackerel. Saw some other guys by the dam had 3 small cats, everyone else was skunked like us. Must still be a little too cold for mr. whiskers. We'll be back in about a month.
