Report: A slow day at Irvine today. Lots of people fishing but not a lot of catching going on. My friend and I fished from 6 am to 4 pm and ended up with 3, 1-pound trout. I did see 3 big ones landed in the 4 to 8 pound range and one guy who lost one after a 15 min battle. The lake is only 30 ft deep at the dam with most of the lake around 10 - 20 feet. We metered fish all over with the highest concentrations around Sierra Cove. Most of the boaters were clusterd around there also but we didn't see a whole lot of catching going on there. All our fish were taken off the west shore. Trolling was unproductive. Sorry, no pictures or video to show this time. The fishing was so slow it wasn't worth taking the camera out of the bag. This lake needs some serious rain to get it back to the way it used to be.
