Report: Lots of people fishing today. The biggest crowd that I have ever seen at L.N. We got here at 5:20 and were the 37th car in line. Still, after buying permits and parking up by the dam, we were still the first persons fishing on the backside of the lake. This morning was not as "hot" as I have previously seen here (probably due to the crowd) but I still got my limit by 11:00 am. My friend Ty had four on his stringer at 11:00 and we fished until almost 2:00 pm trying to finish his limit but were unsuccessfull. Others around us were hooking up but the afternoon bite was totally off for us. My friend John left at noon with four on his stringer, one around 3-pounds. Most ours were around 1.5 with one little dink around 1/2 pound. The trout seem to come in swarms, everyone around will hook up and then nothing for a 1/2 hour or so. Check out this video of my friend Ty who is reeling one in and gets hit on his other rod at the same time. About half way through the video, a fiesty rainbow clears the water on the upper left of the screen. Our neighbor on the other side of us hooked this one. That's three hits and two hookups all from one area in less than a minute!
