Report: Just had to take my little one to try the new lagoon, especially after the rumors of big fish in there. We arrived about 8:30 and set up next to the fishing pier. This was a good spot for catching but we were also in the line of fire from all of the kids on the dock so snagged lines were common. We still managed 7 nice trout by 11:00 and one happy 2.5 year old grinning from ear to ear. One of our fish had a blue tag which was good for a Irvine Lake hat and choice of candy. No big ones seen or caught but most of the kids fishing had stringers of nice 1-2 pound trout. Congrats to Lake Irvine for creating such a nice fishery for the kids. Saw lots of boats and fishermen on the big lake, don't know how the action was there.
