Report: My dad came from AZ. to visit so I had to take him and my oldest daughter back to the lake for some more fast paced trout action. To him, trout fishing is spending all day at a lake in the AZ high country and catching two or three 6-8 inch trout. We got to the lake at 7 am (forgot about the time change) and had limits by 11:00. My daughter squeezed her way to the end of the fishing dock and caught most of our limits there. The old man did manage a few from shore on his 1960's spinning outfit. Another fine day at the lagoon. It's lots of fun watching all of the kids get all excited when they hook a trout all by themselves. Again no big ones seen or caught today but the lake staff said there were a few 10-12 pounders in there. I did see a 9 pounder weighed in that was taken from the big lake. Seems Irvine Lake is back on track just like the "old days".
