Movie: The Art Of War
Director: Christian Duguay
Starring: Wesley Snipes, Marie Matiko, Anne Archer, Donald Sutherland, Michael Biehn
What it's about: Wesley plays Shaw, a secret agent in the employ of the United Nations. He is framed for the assassination of the Chinese Ambassador and tries to prove his innocence while fighting hit men from both sides.
What I thought: It was a great action thriller from start to end. And speaking of the end, it was rather predictable but still a great ride.

What I liked best was that I didn't guess everyone that was involved in the scamming and plotting until almost the very end when it was pretty obvious. Of course I could have just been a little bit more dense than usual that day.

Snipes proved once again that he is training very hard in the martial arts with a few really neat fight scenes that would be made better if we could have clearly seen all of the action but none the less it was really well choreographed. And there wasn't all the blood and gore that sometimes goes with movies like this. The blood was minimal and actually helped to keep the story going.

So why the rating? Like I said, it was great, but it didn't make me want to beat the crap out of anyone as I walked out of the theatre. And it was really predictable at times. I realize that the action something only has so many things that it can twist and turn but with a setting as wide open as the United Nations, where the political games are played in the open and no one really notices, you would think that the writers could come up with something less predictable than a take off of Mission: Impossible, and an Arnold action movie.
