This was my first holiday in quite a long time and I had gone over to New York to visit a friend who was studying over there. Day 1 The day was a bit overcast and but i decdied that I would spend the morning walking from my hotel on 86th street down to the centre of town around 42nd Street, having found I got there quicker than anticipated i wlaked through the rain over to the UN building and had a tour. After this I walked back to the Times Square and decided i would take an open top bus tour. Not surprising ly i was the only person sat on top but then a little rain wasn't going to stop me, i had paid for an open top bus ride after all.

A more desireable way to travel
I decided that following on from the previous days activities i would spend a more relaxing day at the Natural History Museum and the Rose Center and see how things went. I have to say that this was psosibly my favourite day, I arrived at the museum when they opened and was one of the last people to leave when they closed. I had spent the enitre day in their and had not even got round to the special exhibits.

Day 3
I was feeling up for a good long walk again today. i went from my hotel on 86th down to Castle Clinton at the very end of Manhatten and then across the Manhatten Bridge and back over the Brooklyn Bridge. On the way I think I must have passed most of the notable tourist sites. I walked back through china town and then back up Lexington and Park Avenue and across through Central Park back towards my hotel. The day was gorgeous and at times I was finding it almost too hot. the only disappointment i had was that my film ran out as I was crossing Manhatten bridge and it was almost imposisble to find any more until I was well on my way back.

This was my last full day and i decided to spend some of it getting some more picutres from the Manhattan bridge so again i walked there and across the bridge. Following that I went to a museum dedicated to the American Indians and had a walk around Wall Street and the financial district.
