Midlothian Reservoir Information

Quick overview:
Midlothian Reservoir was constructed in 1974 and is part of the Cook County Forest Preserve District. It is actually two bodies of water, which may be connected during spring flooding as the land strip separating them will be under water. In dry summers, the water will drop significantly leaving a muddy shoreline to fish from. Scrub brush is also starting to take over the shoreline, leaving very little "fishable" areas(I did manage to create more areas to fish from by using a sickle to cut away some brush.) According to the CCFP guide, the maximum depth is 14', although during high water it may be up to 20', and during droughts, as low as 8'.
