Dog Bones

1 cup whole-wheat flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup soy flour
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/4 cup crumbled, crispy bacon(fried)
1 egg
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup canola oil (or other vegetable oil)

Before making, buy cookie cutters shaped like dog bones. Look in pet shops, kitchen shops
or pet catalogs for cutters.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add remaining
ingredients and stir. Dough should be stiff. If dough is to wet, add more flour. Roll dough out
on a floured surface to between 1/2-inch to 3/4-inch.Reroll any scraps and continue until all the
dough is used. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 25 to 35 minutes depending on oven. Pet
cookies should be golden brown. These are great treats for your dog, and also make unique
Christmas presents for relatives pets and friends pets.
Will make between 18 and 24 dog bones.
