MaGrizz's Original Venison Meatloaf

2 pounds ground venison
1 pound ground beef
3 teaspoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon pepper
1 package onion and mushroom soup mix
2 1/2 packages crackers
2 or 3 eggs
1/2 to 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder (according to your taste)
1/2 to 1/8 teaspoon onion powder (according to your taste)

Sauce Topping

3 or 4 teaspoons soy sauce
1 6 or 8 ounce can tomato juice or V-8 juice
3 tablespoons catsup

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. for the first half hour and then drop temperature to 350 for the remaining hour.
In a large mixing bowl combine ground venison and ground beef, soy sauce, pepper, onion and mushroom soup mix (I use Campbells) and eggs.
Put crackers on a sheet of wax paper and with a rolling pin, roll out until no large pieces remain.
Then add crackers to mixture and combine all ingredients thoroughly.
Place in a large loaf pan or two smaller loaf pans.
On top of meat loaf put a mixture of the soy sauce, catsup and juice.
Place in oven and bake for 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours depending on your oven.
When cut into, meat shouldn't look pink.
Enjoy and it will make a believer in eating venison even out of the non believers.
It makes your house smell great too!
