Report=Great Day! This was to be my last tuna trip of the season and it ended with a bang! I got 5 yellowfin with two of them over 30 pounds each. Water was dirty green but that didn't seem to bother the tuna. It took about an hour to "chunk 'em up" in the morning but once they started biting, they stayed with us the whole day (6 hours). Light line was the key to more hookups. Landing a 35 pound tuna on 20 pound test is quite a challenge but that's what it took to hook the bigger fish. Toward the end of the day the, the fish were getting very skittish but still stayed with the boat, crashing on the meatballs of bait that would venture too far from the boat. There was only one guy using 15-pound test and he hooked the last couple of fish including the jackpot (38-pounds) which took him at least 45-min to bring in. The Outer Limits is an awesome boat with huge bait carrying capacity. We emptied out four HUGE tanks of bait on one stop and kept the tuna there all day. I think we ended up being the "high boat" for that area. Total for the boat was 42 yellowfin and 19 skipjack for 21 anglers and that is an ACCURATE count, unlike what some boats turn in. We also hit a huge paddy on the way in and pulled off a few "rat" yellowtail, but they were too small to include in the count. (all released except for one bloody one that hit a cedar plug) The crew and captain of the Outer Limits is supreme. Very helpfull and friendly and they even know a little bit about fishing too. This boat does nut run many "open party" trips, but I would recommend getting on one whenever they do.

Rating=Excellent
