Report=The lake was closed to the public today but I was invited to fish there as I am the webmaster for thier site. Upon arrival at 7 am, I watched the last load of rainbows go in, This load was big ones, what a site! I knew they wouldn't be biting yet so we fished the west shore for about an hour with no action. Decided to troll and I immediately picked up a 1-1/2 pound bass on a fire tiger Rapala at three colors of leadcore. Go figure? My friend Jim then hits a #2 pounder on a chrome raider and then looses a #3 pounder at the boat. So I switch to a raider also but no hits after that so we decided to fish trout island. We fished on the long dock. It was slow at first but about 11 am they decided to turn on and it was non-stop action after that. We both got limits, releasing many more. No big ones but the lady next to us got a 12-pounder. Saw alot of toads break the surface of the water. They were still getting adjusted. Most fish came by way of lures. Tomorrow should be great for the guys fishing the opener.

Rating=Excellent
