Report: I was also in the "combat zone" as described earlier. I watched Darryl catch one of his three WSB and I also watched the Big Game 90 pull right up on him. It was a zoo out there, 20+ boats trying to squeeze into an area the size of a football field. Only the boats right up tight to the beach had any success. I was in the deluxe sportfisher "Lone Shark", we settled for a spot outside of the main pod and caught only calicos and rockfish. We had generator problems in the morning and didn't det to the Island until after 10:00 am. We tried several "sea-bassy" looking spots without success so we decided to join the crowd at West Cove. It looked like boats were having a tough time only saw two hookups and only from boats right up on the beach. It was amazing that anybody could pull a fish out from there. Congrats to Darryl for successfully fishing the "Combat Zone". Our boat was a little too big to get up onto the beach and we didn't want to piss everbody off trying to do so. I can't wait for the tuna to arrive. At least they are in open water and not all crowded into one little cove. Thanks Tory, for inviting me on your super-nice Pacifica, I am looking forward to fishing with you again. For any of you who want to get in on this WSB bite, here's a tip: DON'T GO ON THE WEEKENDS.
