Thanks to the efforts of members of Halifax CTC and other CTC members in West Yorkshire who invested a lot of work in discussions with Huddersfield & District CTC, CTC West Yorkshire remains open for business. The AGM in November was attended by an unusually large number of members who voted to retain the historic CTC West Yorkshire group while providing a financial framework which would give security to both CTC West Yorkshire and Huddersfield & District CTC.
CTC West Yorkshire now covers a reduced area, namely the BD, HX, and LS postcodes within its designated area and aims to remain the parent CTC member group within that area, allowing existing CTC groups to flourish. It hopes to encourage the formation of new groups, as well as continuing to promote cycling events.
