Between Kingston and Princeton, the towpath goes between the canal and Lake Carnegie which is formed by a dam on the Millstone River. The path is much busier in this area with many walkers and joggers as well as bicyclists. There is always much activity in the lake with sailboats and racing crews. There are several streets to bicycle into Princeton from the canal towpath; Washington Street, Alexander Road and Harrison Street. Many years ago it was enjoyable to ride around Princeton, but now on a weekend the traffic is terrible. We bicycled into Princeton in what we thought would be a hopeless task, finding a cheap place to eat in an expensive town. We actually were successful and found a cheap restaurant off the main street.
