Hisako and I joined New York City Marathon race tour in 2000. This was
my first Full Marathon race. I enjoyed atomosphere of its Start Point in
Stutten Island. I stopped to run after 10 Km run and took subway to return
Manahattan. I changed my wears and waited for Hisako, a friend of "Hashirundagaya
Team" and Haruki-san at Central Park. I took pictures of Hisako and
Haruki-san.
We joined International Run on November 4, 2000 and ran from United Nations
building to Central Park. Runners put on various costumes. We enjoyed the
Run very much.
Hisako and I finished the International Run. We celebrated our run at Central
Park.
It was my great pleasure to feel excited atmosphere of NYCM Start Point.
I put on sweat shirt holding camera and waited for start.

After couple of minutes from the start point, I found cameman on the bridge. I asked him to take my photo. The cameraman: Whom? I: me! (He could not understand at first my request. Everybody started to run but this guy stopped to ask to take his own photo.) Cameraman: Here we go. I: (Said) Yes. (and grinned.) |
I took photo of Manhattan from the bridge. You can see Trade Center Twin
Building. They were broken before the 2001 NYCM and feared to hold the
marathon race.

I waited runners at entrance of Central Park. Hisako ran in front of me
and Haruki-san followed. It was first time for him to run full-marathon
over 4 hours.
