Chapter 7

Love In War

If life had been bad before it was definitely not improving. In a sense I guess it could be considered good. Rei and I had exchanged our feelings with each other, but somehow I knew that Misato wouldn't approve of a relationship between us during this war. And then there was Asuka. How would I deal with her reaction?

"Rei? What will we tell everyone else?" I asked.

"Maybe it would be better not to tell anyone yet." She said.

A secret relationship. So that's what would happen. Still it didn't feel right. It could effect our fighting against the enemy and how we reacted around others.

"Alright," I said, "but if Asuka or Misato start to catch on, we tell them, I don't like the idea of going behind peoples backs."

It was something my father had been doing. Going behind peoples backs and doing as he pleased. I still wait for the day that pompous bastard gets what he deserves.

"Yes, so it shall be." Rei said.

We kissed again, our tongues battling for control. We broke off when I heard a crunching noise and the door being banged on.

"You didn't lock the door, did you Rei?"

She smiled at me and went to see who was at the door. I tried to get up but failed in doing so and ended up falling out of the bed.

"Ouch." I mumbled.

"Oh! Hello Asuka. Something wrong?"

"Where is Shinji!" She demanded.

"Right here, I shouted."

"Where?!"

"On the ground! What do you want?!" I asked, annoyance was present in my voice.

I heard her walk passed Rei and over to me. She was in my view shortly and she looked furious.

"What!? Don't you what me! You fucking show off! You just had to take control when I knew what I was doing! That Angel was mine!"

"Since when did you own the angels." I stated.

"Don't act smart with me! I was going to kill that Angel for what it--"

"Shut the fuck up!" I yelled.

She jumped a bit and looked scared.

"That Angel would just have disabled you once more and you know it! Stop letting your pride get the better of you. I'm fucking sick and tired of how everything you do has to do with revenge or pride. I don't care! Just leave me alone!!"

She looked hurt. I had made such an outburst I could have acted exactly like her when we were kids. She yelled something in German at me and ran away knocking Rei out of her way and slamming the door shut. Then it dawned on me. She was here to yell at me about killing the Angel. She must have seen what me and Rei were doing.

"Rei, I think Asuka knows."

"Well so much for keeping it a secret, neh?" She replied.

She was so casual these days it astounded me. You wouldn't think that this girl, this of all girls would be like this.

"Well we can only hope that Misato doesn't do anything drastic." I said.

Rei confirmed that with a silent nod. Little did we both realize at that time that life was about to fuck us and everyone else over.

*The Airport*

In a secret airport we made our landing. Soon we were all hustled out and escorted to living facilities. Considering what we were given to live in the last time they must have thought we should feel more comfortable about our surroundings before being sent into the bowls of hell. We were each given a small apartment which had been built into the hidden base where the Evangelions were waiting. The base we had been sent to was a lot different than the other one. Instead of being out in the open, this one was built a lot like our Geo-Front back in Tokyo-3. However it was built as deep and we were out in the middle of nowhere in the woods. The apartment was almost exactly like the one Rei used to live in, only it was in better condition and I didn't hear the construction noises. But this section was above the ground, disguised as a mountain, little windows in each room.

'How do people live here?' I thought.

I didn't understand how Germany could be such a harsh place. It was always very cold and snow was about everywhere. Snow. This was the first time I had ever seen snow. Probably not the first time for Asuka or Misato, since they lived in Germany for a while, but for Rei and almost everyone else it was. I had been assigned to live alone in the apartment I was given. Rei was assigned to live alone as well, while most of the others were assigned to live with each other. Why couldn't we be together or at least be assigned with a roommate?! I threw my bag into a wall in my frustration.

"What the fuck is going on?!" I yelled, to no one in particular.

I hated this feeling of being alone. I wanted to be with Rei. I wanted to hold her close. I wanted to laugh with her and talk with her.

'I'm going to talk to her!'

I opened my door and walked down the hallway to her room and knocked on the door. No answer.

'What the hell?'

I knocked again. Still no answer.

'What's going on?'

I knocked again. Once more receiving no answer.

'What the fuck!'

I was about to knock once more when I heard a loud bang and some shuffling around. I press the intercom button.

"Rei? What's going on in there?!" I shouted.

Something was definitely wrong. No answer. I slammed myself against the wooden door and heard a loud crack as I knocked it down. I charged into the room to see Rei lying dazed on the floor and the sliding glass door to her balcony broken.

"Rei! Are you alright?" I asked.

I ran to her and helped her up. Whoever came into her room hit her a few times.

"What happened?" I asked.

"A man. . ." She stuttered, "c-came into my room, he hit me from behind and knocked me to the ground. He-he kept threatening me that he'd kill me unless I came with him. I refused, he was about to pull out a gun when you charged in, he ran. I couldn't see him at all, all I know is that he was tall and wore a black suit."

I was about to question her further when I heard a series of gunshots fired out side, as well as a helicopter. We peered out the window to see what was happening when the helicopter I heard pulled up to the window and I saw a man with a big machine gun.

"Rei! Get down!" I yelled as I pulled her down to the deck.

The man opened fire at the window just as we hit the ground and glass shards and plaster began to rain down on us. The firing was kept up until I realized that I heard the sound of a VTOL jet nearby.

"Rei, no the count of three we run." I whispered.

She nodded. I could tell she was frightened by the whole experience but we had to get out of their before the VTOL craft shot at the helicopter. The gunner stopped firing and they waited for a while.

"1. 2. 3!" I yelled.

We both jumped up and ran. The helicopter opened fire just as I thought, bits and pieces of the ground and walls falling on us and jumping at us as we ran. We made it to the door and I pulled Rei to the left and we hit the deck when. A loud explosion rocked the room and the helicopter must have been blasted out of the sky.

"What the fuck is going on?!" I yelled.

Klaxxon's blared throughout the complex as bridge crew and technicians began to run out of their rooms. I helped Rei up and we ran our way down the stairways until we were inside headquarters. Something was right about this. . .Something was very wrong.

"What's going on?" Rei asked.

Before I could answer her question, a hail of bullets began to rain down on the bridge members and crew on the scafolding. I heard someone yell and I looked up. The German soldiers were up there. I was enraged. The whole thing was a setup, as I noticed the only people that were gunned down were Japanese and from the other Nerv bases. A few German techs even pulled out their own fire arms and began to fire upon other techs. I looked for Asuka and Sora. I knew Misato would be fine. As if in an answer I watched as a red arm came blasting through a wall where a bunch of German troops were positioned. All of them were killed instantly. There was a cease fire as the rest of the body of Unit-02 came in.

"Shinji, Rei! Get to the Evas! We're getting out of here, Misato and the others were rushed away by that VTOL craft a while ago. Lets get out of here!" she yelled through the loud speakers attached to her Eva.

I nodded and we rushed to our Evas, no time to suit up. We split up and ran to our separate Eva's in each other's bays. I found a handgun on the ground by the dead body of a tech. I picked it up and the other 3 clips that were in the mans hand. I felt sick to my stomach from all of this. I stuffed the clips in my pocket and peeked into the viewing room. I saw the German soldiers waiting by Unit-01. I knew they wouldn't care about the other two, Unit-01 was the most important Eva of all. I took my aim, counting the targets. Four of them.

"Aim the target in the center, and pull the switch. . ." I muttered, opening fire on the unsuspecting Soldiers.

I aimed for chest wounds, but I must have been off, cause each hit was in the head, killing 3 of the instantly, the other I snagged in the throat and he was choking on his own blood for a few seconds before he died. I broke through the viewing room glass and climbed a ladder down to my awaiting Eva. The plug was out and ready, so I got in and put on my neural connecters. I activated the Eva immediately, and bashed my way to the surface.

In a rage, I made it to the top quickly where Unit-02 and 04 were waiting for me. I said nothing but grabbed each of them and activated my Unit's Wings. When I was locked away in the mental institute I learned about Unit-01's wings and felt they would be needed soon. Call it premonition, I call it luck. . .

I flew as far away as I could. I didn't listen to the yelling from my partners, I just kept flying. Pretty soon things had quieted down and I actually watched where I was going. I must have flown for a long time, cause when I looked I saw the conntinent of Australia greeting me. The entire mission was rigged so they could try to steal Unit-01 and Rei. . . They must have found out about Rei's origins. I would personally see to it that the German's leader was destroyed. I would crush him with Unit-01 on sight!

"Shinji! Why did you drag us this far?!" shouted Asuka.

"I don't know." I replied.

Truth be told, I really didn't. I just wanted to get away from Germany. As far away as I could for that matter.

Chapter 8

Loathing

"It was a trap. The entire mission was rigged." I stated

"What led you to that conclusion?" my father asked.

He was sitting before me, in a desk, his hands folded infront of his face, hiding the smirk I knew he had on.

"The fact that they found us so quickly, and that they already had agents undercover."

We were in Australia. The Nerv base there wasn't a secret, but it was heavily fortified. If the enemy tried to attack with three active Evangelions guarding, they would be slaughtered. I hoped for days and days that they would show up. We've been out here in the desert near Neo-Sidney for a long time. A very long time. It's been half a year already.

"Interesting. You truly believe that we've been set up? By Who?"

"Yes I do, by Seele. I don't know what they've got in store for us but it's something big."

"Your report has been noted. You may leave now."

I turned and left, not acknowledging my father's presence any longer. I wanted to tear his throat out, which was a bad thought. I hope I'm not going crazy. Crazy, that's what made me think of Cynthia and the asylum. Oh how that place depressed me, it barely helped at all. If it weren't for Cynthia, I would have been lost.

"Hey! Shinji!" I heard a familiar voice yell.

"What?!" I asked, turning around.

My heart skipped a beat. Cynthia was standing down the hallway smiling at me.

"Cynthia!" I shouted.

She ran to me, lunging at me, wrapping me in a tight embrace. We both laughed in joy. She was safe! Thank god!

"I was worried about you, for a second. Never thought you had the energy to activate those wings and fly all the way to Australia in less than an hour." she exclaimed.

We let go of each other and I pat her shoulder.

"I guess I'm full of surprises," I replied, "You're looking well."

"Really? Ya think so? I've been down here ever since I escaped. I was rescued by Nerv. When I heard you guys were here, I came looking, but I never seemed to find you until now. Those hacker skills of mine have been helping me."

"That's nice to hear. Have you met the girls?" I asked.

"Oh, so you've got two girlfriends?" she teased.

"No! I meant Rei and Asuka. Rei is my girlfriend, Asuka's just my co-worker, she can be quite a pain in the-"

"Ass? Shinji?" asked a voice from behind me.

Asuka and Rei were both behind my back, Cynthia looking over my shoulder.

"Ah! So these are the famous 1st and 2nd Children!" exclaimed Cynthia.

I turned around. Rei had blushed, not being used to such a compliment. Asuka grinned widely, her pride was about to make her do something mean soon.

"Ah, someone who recognizes true talent when she see's it! Rather than this pathetic excuse for a male and Wondergirl."

Rei looked angrily at Asuka, who didn't notice.

"Really? I thought you were talking about Rei." added Cynthia.

Asuka was fuming at that.

"What?!" she yelled.

"Listen up fly girl, I personally don't give a fuck who you are, if you want to tango, lets tango, if not, then shut your trap. Got it?"

Asuka was stunned. She didn't expect someone to actually talk back to her. I inwardly laughed but managed to maintain a strong exterior. Rei however, burst out laughing. The fact that the infamous Asuka Langely Soryu had been insulted and challenged. Asuka's face grew redder and redder. Cynthia smirked.

"Why You--"

"Bitch? Thanks for the compliment, its swinging back at ya!" stated Cynthia.

Asuka growled and stalked off in the other direction. Cynthia started laughing with Rei when she left.

"Man, I'm glad you didn't end up with her."

"Now, there's no need to be mean to Asuka." I started.

"She did start it, Shinji." answered Rei, taking my arm in hers.

No one was laughing anymore, though we were all in a cheerful mood. We walked down the hallway to the bridge. They were about to conduct the test for the new Evangelion Unit-09. 09, it reminded me of Dr. Akagi and Misato's conversation when I was brought to Nerv. ONI, a Japanese devil. I hadn't met the pilot yet, though who ever it is will most likely be Australian. I remember that they had been working on Unit-09 to perfect it, making it the perfect Evangelion, better than even Unit-01. They had fit the unit with wings, an s2 organ, and more places to store weapons. It even had a new progressive sword. We went to the locker room to suit up, knowing this was necessary in case the unit went berserk, which no one wanted. When I finished suiting up I waited for Rei and Asuka. Asuka must have already suited up and gone off to Unit-02, cause Rei was the only one who came out. We walked to the cages, entering the Elevator which would bring us to the Eva's. On the elevator, I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her. Deeply. We both kissed for a little while before we broke it off and I hugged her. We both held each other for the remainder of the trip up. No words were needed, but I said them anyways.

"I love you." I whispered into her ear.

"I love you." came the reply, full of emotion and love.

The elevator stopped and we got out. We both walked in our own directions to our Units. Unit-01's plug was out and ready. I got in and the protective door sild closed. I felt the plug being moved and fit into the Evangelion. Once I was in I activated it, the usual multicolored rainbow hit first, followed by the normal view through the Evangelion's eyes. I felt the shift in weight as the Eva was moved to the launch pad. It was just now that it occurred to me why the base was so far away from the city. Was I really this dense? It seemed logical. If I were in command I wouldn't want to risk any lives so I'd probably position it out in the middle of nowhere. Nerv was becoming more simplistic with each passing year. Hell, Rei and I were supposed to go to college when the Japanese Summer was over. But it didn't look like our normal lives would get back on track, with this damned war. I was having a hard enough time just piloting again and they send me into battle with only my own judgment to help me. I turned off my radio, not wanting to listen to all the technical crap that the bridge members would start talking as they launched the test.

The test began to start, it was the most anxious three minutes of my life at the time. What if it went berserk, or if it killed everyone, including the pilot? What would I do? What if it killed Asuka or Rei? God! What if it killed everyone in the cities? With the s2 Unit, that thing could be virtually unstoppable.

When two minutes passed I turned my radio back on.

"Reaching absolute borderline." came a voice.

I knew that one. It was Cynthia. So they put her back on active duty, eh?

"1.2, 1, 0.8, 0.6, 0.4, 0.2, 0.1."

My heart stopped.

"Borderline clear. Unit-09 has been successfully activated."

My heart resumed it's normal beating, perhaps just a bit faster than normal to tell the truth.

"Roger," said a female voice, "Beginning Interlock tests."

Her voice was soft and thin, rather pretty, I had to admit. It was a lot like Rei's, but it had an Australian accent to it. Whoever she was spoke perfect Japanese, but her accent remained, making a person able to easily understand where she was from.

"Unit's 01, 02, and 04, remain on standby, weapons are nearby if needed." came Sora's voice.

I could have sworn I heard Misato grumbling something about me having a run for my money pretty soon in the background. I was about to ask about the weapons, since I didn't see them, when an elevator with weapons came up out of the ground. I walked over to the open booth and selected my usual weapons, a progressive knife and a rifle. The designs for Eva sized Hand Grenades and Shotguns were still being modified to work out the kinks. For the shotgun, they wanted to use something that could be recycled so money wouldn't be uselessly wasted on ammunition and repairs, as it did with the Palate Rifles.

After two hours of watching the Command Center we saw the Unit itself get launched out to meet us. It was the most diverse Eva of all the Eva's I had seen. It had no mouth for one thing. Two pronged ears shot out, armored, probably to aid in hearing. It's armor was styled in a dark green and brown mix, making it look like it was camouflage gear. It had a larger back pack unit, no power extension, and it's eyes were blood red and menacing.

"Well, hello mates!" the pilot said.

Her com picture didn't show up, which was odd, but Unit-09 waved at us. We watched her carefully, not knowing whether or not she was crazy or just out from training. The Eva came bounding towards us and Command issued the order for us to show bring her through "the course".

"The course" was a set of objects and barriers which were built in order to test the maneuverability skills of the pilots Eva. I myself had taken it many times as well as Rei and Asuka. We were kinda forced into it so we'd be ready for anything. There were battle positions, rigs, and boobie traps set up everywhere as well as the course run-through, which caused a series of climbing, ducking, weaving, and jumping. We watched her carefully as she ran through. She started up, running down the stretch, ducking and crawling under a concrete tunnel. She jumped out the other end and began to duck and weave as automated cannons began to open fire. She made it passed them successfully, and continued to the climbing section. She scaled the wall almost perfectly, except for losing her footing once and nearly falling to the ground. When she made it up where we were waiting we saw the Eva stand at an upright posture and salute us. We heard the pilot burst into laughter before command issued to orders to return back to base.

No sooner had we returned when the alarms went off.

"What's going on?!" I yelled into the com.

"An massive naval/air fleet has been sighted off the coast of Neo-Sidney!" came the reply from Cynthia.

I didn't bother listening to the background chatter. We were about to go into battle again, with the bastards who tried to kill us before. I loathed them so. They would die for what they've done to my life, to my friends, to everyone they've hurt! I would kill them all!

Chapter 9

Slaughter

Right before we were launched I finally saw what my new coworker looked like. She was very pretty, I'll give her that. Her eyes were green, her hair was dyed black. Her hair was long and unkempt. She looked cheerful, but her determined expression left me wondering. What was her reason for piloting an Eva?

"Lets move out!" I shouted.

I ripped a pistol and a new Progressive Sword, which looked a lot like a Katana, only bigger, and lunged forth. I ran at an intense speed, activating my s2 engine just before my battery died. I could see the ships and the jets coming in. I dispersed all speaking from my friends or from the bridge. I would destroy my enemies, all of them. I would not spare a single one. I could see the bombers homing in on my position. I ran from them, luring them away from the city. They followed me till I was outside of the city, I turned around and opened fire with the pistol, gunning the bombers down, watching them fall from the sky and blow up into fireballs on the uninhabited desert ground. I did this maneuver with the other remaining bombers until the others arrived, and the bombers were all just heaps of burning scrap metal. My breath was ragged as I panted, looking at the approaching war ships. I don't remember what happened next, but I stood there, my eye beginning to twitch. My mind felt as though something was trying to get in. I screamed before losing conciousness. Or that's what I thought happened. But what really happened was different. Everything was black, when the form of a wolf appeared, looking at me. I'd never seen a wolf before in my life, but somehow I felt as though I had. The creature barred it's teeth at me and howled. I glared at it. It glared back and charged. For one instant, I felt the fear as it lunged at me snarling. I fell backwards and hit the ground. The hot ground caused me to jump back up. The wolf was gone, but I knew it wasn't. It had lunged into the recesses of my heart, at least that's what I thought. I felt it taking over. When my vision was restored, everything looked red. Unit-04 and 02 were lying on the ground. The naval fleet was decimated, as was the air fleet. But Unit-09 was fighting against another Eva. The other Eva was the Unit-02A that Germany had begun work on when Unit-02 was finished. So, Germany had decided to put that against us. Unit-09 was losing. It was punched to the ground and then thrown directly at me. I pushed the now deactivated Eva off of me and jumped to my feet. I growled at the enemy Eva. It seemed to growl back. The com unit opened up and I saw a fairly confident looking German boy, about a year older than me. I couldn't tell what his features were like, since I could see only red. He laughed and spoke in Japanese, his eyes closed the entire time. My eye hurt and I couldn't quite see as well as before.

"You pitiful creatures don't understand that you're fucked. Nothing will stop me from killing all of you. There is nothing you can do, Pilot Ikari. You stole the show from my Asuka and you've destroyed her pride. Now she wants you over her original love."

"What?!" I snarled.

"Who do you think really called when you thought it was her mother?" he replied.

Finally he opened his eyes, and I glared at him. This time he was frightened.

"Dear God!" he exclaimed, "A Demon!"

"DIE!" I snarled again.

I lunged at his Eva and smashed him to the ground. I punched him endlessly. It took him a while to react. He grabbed my arm and twisted it, throwing me backwards. I yelped at the pain in my arm. He picked up a weapon which was on the ground and fired it. It was a positron cannon, it's blast shearing my aformentioned arm off. I felt the snap as my arm broke. I roared at him, charging and slamming him to the ground. I punched with the other arm repeatedly. I was killing him, but I didn't care.

"Die, die, die, die, Die, DIE, DIE!!" I roared.

His eva was reduced to a bloody mess as I began to rip his limbs apart and toss the aside. Finally I held the Plug in my trembling hands. I felt a tug on my leg and looked down. Unit-02 had recovered but was grasping my leg, lying on the ground.

"Shinji! NOOO!!" Asuka screamed.

I crushed the plug in reflex. The red faded from my eyes. I realized what I had done and screamed.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" screamed Asuka in silhouette.

I fell to the ground gasping. Dear God. I'd killed again. I killed someone who didn't know what they were doing. Why must I become such a monster. The bridge finally got a hold of me again.

"What happened?" asked Cynthia.

I trembled, my throat sore.

"M-m. . .mission aco-co-complished. . ." was I all I could say.

"You bastard!" came a yell from Asuka.

Unit-02 was up and aiming the positron cannon at me. I didn't move when she fired. I didn't flinch when the beam cut off my other arm. I didn't cry out in pain when my other arm broke. I didn't do anything but look at Asuka who was crying and trembling in her plug. Unit-02 collapsed, I followed suit, losing whatever conscious thought I had. My last thought was.

'Am I dying?'

Before I lost all thought and plunged into the blackness of my soul.

* * *

When I woke up, I couldn't remember anything. I lurched forward in my bed gasping for air. I began to claw at the wiring attached to my body. Someone had pushed me down and held me. I struggled, but weakly. I couldn't do anything. I opened my eyes and saw a blur begin to focus on the blue haired girl who understood what I was. She cried on my chest, sobbing.

"Why?" She asked, looking up at me her cheeks tear stained.

"I don't know. I-I couldn't control what I did. . ." I replied, trying to brush away her tears.

But I couldn't. I couldn't even feel or move the lower halves of my arms.

"Your eyes. They. . .they're. . .they. . ." she whispered, frightened.

"What?"

She walked back a bit, letting me get up to look in the mirror across the room. I nearly fainted then and there. My eye color had changed to look red, like Rei's. One of them, my left, had a strange spiral like design on it. When I thought about it, I couldn't see through my left eye. I watched my reaction, almost as though I was no longer in my own body. My lip was quivering, my eyes were wide open, I knew what was about to happen.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed, before wrenching my body from the bed.

"Shinji!" Rei screamed.

I must have gone into convulsions from the shock, cause I felt my body twitching and jumping about with no control what-so-ever. Rei braced herself against me, keeping me from jumping out of the bed. The whole time she was screaming: "Somebody! Help me!", but no one came. My body finally became too tired to move and I regained control. I got over the shock and lay there gasping. Rei's breath was slightly ragged as well. She still remained, bracing herself against me. I shut my eyes tightly in a vain attempt to hold back my tears.

"Why?" I asked.

"Why God!"

"Shinji. . ." Rei whispered, pain present in her voice.

"Don't leave me." I cried, still unable to move.

She wrapped her arms around me and held me. Her chin rested on my shoulder. I cried for a long time. I don't know how long, except that by the time I could move again, I was still crying. And after that, I stopped and Rei looked into my deformed eyes. I looked back at her. I was now completely blind in my left eye. How would this affect my piloting? What would happen to Rei and I if I was deemed unfit as a pilot and shipped away back to Japan? I don't want to leave! I will pilot, whether they say so or not! The War was almost over. We had decimated the entire German air and naval fleets. Now only their land base and their Iraqi allies were left. Rei got up and off of the bed. I got up as well, although help from Rei was extremely necessary. She found two slings and helped me put them on. My arms adjusted to their new state and I slowly began to dress myself. Rei was waiting outside, respecting my privacy, even though I was injured. I didn't want her to see something she wouldn't want to see, yet.

When I was fully dressed, clad in a white t-shirt, and a pair of black pants I staggered out to Rei who took my arm and helped me walk with her to the bridge. I had to find out what happened.

"Don't you ever do that to me again." Rei said.

"Don't do what?" I asked.

"You were out cold for two weeks! They thought you were a goner!"

I didn't reply. So, two weeks had gone by. Still, it didn't break my record of being on a possible death bed. 30 days was the record and no one had beaten it yet. Still, I wasn't proud of it either. I didn't want to break Rei's heart and die on her.

"I'm sorry Rei. I'm shouldn't have done what I did." I stated. "I don't know what made me do it."

"I believe you. But something is not right. Command said that your heart monitor flat-lined when you destroyed the rest of the fleet."

"Do you mean that they thought I was dead?"

"Yes, but I didn't believe them."

"To tell you the truth. I don't remember destroying the fleet at all."

"It was terrible. You used only a progressive sword and a pistol. Everything they had couldn't stop you. You destroyed every single ship and ever single jet. They dropped four N2 mines on you and those didn't do anything to you either. When they launched Unit-02A, at first you were getting thrown around. He beat you back to your original position and gouged out your left eye with a progressive knife. He was about to kill you when we intervined. He knocked me away pretty easily, though I hate to admit it. Asuka knew him and she kept trying to talk some sense into him. Unit-02 punched 02A and was thrown to the ground. They said your heart rate was slightly restored when Unit-01 got up from the ground and watched Unit-02A and 09 fight. We heard both of you talking. You snarled like a pissed off wolf. And, you remember what happened next."

"I destroyed him. Like a wolf." I said, remember the part of the vision with the wolf jumping into my heart.

"What?" she asked.

"I can't explain right now. Maybe, when I'm more sure of it myself, I'll tell you."

To Be Continued. . .
