What's the meaning of "Yoshi"?
"Yoshi" is short for any Japanese name containing it, such as "Yoshiki, Teruyoshi, Yoshida, Yoshimitsu, Yoshiru, etc...". But in the case of this website, "Yoshi" is the name of a Nintendo-owned videogame character, who is a cute green dinosaur with many unique abilities. He can eat almost anything, and in any amount (appears to have a bottomless stomach). He can flutter in the air, pound the ground, eat enemies with his long, sticky, frog-like tongue, and can also turn them into eggs, which he can use later to throw at other enemies or other things. Yoshi is strong and big enough to give you a ride, much like a horse would. So you ask, what does a Yoshi look like? Well. First of all, they have huge round noses, big eyes and cheeks, and are almost always smiling. Yoshis don't know what being angry is like. Their skin coloration is similar to a golden hamster's: a white patch of skin under their bellies and over their cheeks. (their cheeks can also stretch just like a hamster's!). Yoshis also have a short tail, and their arms and hands are small. They have dinosaur-like spikes on the back of their head, and often carry a saddle on their backs and wear shoes.
