Only this term, the ELI has a special class. Fortunately, I was able to join this class.

Pre-University Seminar

• Teacher: Randall Davis
  
• Purposes: To improve my overall communication skills, to develop cultural understanding of others, to improve note-taking skills and strategies, to learn and enhance presentation, speech, and debating skills, and to understand and follow good academic research writing practices
  
• Contents: We listened to some video lectures, took notes, and discussed them, and we also did a research and presented the results. This course was not for ELI students, so I could meet some new students who were going to enter the University of Utah. They were from various background, and each of them has some different experiences. To meet such kinds of people was very impressive and a very good experience for me.
