It's August 29th and I've been working on
the addition again. This is the front entrance area
unsided. I'm installing Cedar Shakes as a siding
(special thanks to Brian Jelley for the "Cedar shakes"
and to Cameron Storch for the Solid Cherry Front door!. |
At present I haven't gotten the resources available
yet for me to purchase the 13 - 2" X 6" X 8' Pressure
treated floor joists I need to
complete the full room so I built yet another foundation
(pads & blocks) to just extend the room out 10' instead of
the full 14'. |
Doing it this way let's me at least have a bathroom
that's enclosed from prying eyes
but not from the forces of nature. That won't happen
until I can install the roof and that's not until I can raise
the roof on the main cabin |
and install the "Loft" into it.
At this point I have decided to go ahead and frame
in the front & back walls in their entirety (which explains
the 4-2" X 4" studs standing on their own) so that
when I can get the floor joists |
I will just have to disconnect the one wall and
move it out, and redirect my plumbing to the new area for the
bathroom.
Here's a view of the North "Highway"
wall side I intend to move out another 4'. Siding "behind"
that tree is a real toughie! |
Today I'll try to get the front sided in it's entirety
and maybe get some of the side done also. This is Cameron's dog
"Chance"...my buddy!
time to get back to it! |
