 It's July 17th and I've been working mostly on the exterior and the yard. Brian jelly found me some free wood and here's a shot of some of the

Cedar Shake Shingles I picked up for free!

I've also been hitting job sites and getting

their leftovers! I've so far been able to build 3 walls (framed/sheathed/sided & paneled) completely for free!

Grabbed these from a Kroger Store site. They were replacing them with new ones.

 

These are 1000 watts each and were made to light up a Parking Lot. WOW! are they bright! I'm not yet sure what I'm going to do with em. use em/keep em/sell em...I have 6!

This is actually a shot of the free

Dog Eared Fencing Panels I picked up....enough to do about 80 feet of fencing!

I got SO much Cedar Shake Shingles! Enough to do the entire house PLUS

 

Probably enough to do a Garage and a couple of out buildings....time to build the half moon outhouse?

The shingles are old...and at the thickest part about 1 1/2" thick...but they've been sitting for a few years ...soooo....

 

 

I'm giving each a bath in bleach (in one side)(complete with a wire brush cleaning) and a rinse off in the other

and another shot of the pile of shingles....the pile in front is my first attempt at stacking them...and it's not a complete skid load

the pile behind is properly stacked and at least a third more shingles are in it....it pays to stack properly!

 

Here's how it's gonna look! I think it looks great myself! I'll put up more pictures as I get more done.

   So far the it may not look like much, but it is coming together. When all is done and it's a 2 beroom house, the value of the property should go from somewhere around $60,000 (without a house) to more like $170,000! And so far I have less than $2500 in the entire project in 10 weeks! At a current....that comes out to something like making ....check out the spreadsheet to the right......

 

remember...this is a greatly reduced Pay Per hourly rate as I am using extreme hourly rates!....I should finish out with well less than 500 work hours total! Makin it much more like.....

   AND that's not counting future earnings fro property appreciation....check these out!  With the building of several Multi Million dollar homes within the 1/2 mile radius of the property....I believe the appreciation rate will actually be HIGHER than it HAS been for the last 14 years...but these are the only figures I have at present!
