It's September 5th and I've been working on the addition again. This is the front entrance area. I had some redbricks I'd picked up

a while back so I used them to form a makeshift "patio" area.

And here's a view from the side!

The little deck I'm just gonna paint and use to hide the unfinished "final foundation" until I can get the funds to complete it.

Here's the back or (the woods) side.

I intend to cover it with vinyl siding for the winter (I have some but it's in a bunch of different colors)

that I've scavaged here and there.

Here's another view of "the woods side" wall the tree is a about 12" from the wall.

And another shot of same

if you look closely you can see my vent stack (and drain extension) sticking out at the bottom.

Here's a shot of the back door!

And here's the South Side wall...haven't had time to do anything here lately.

This is the highway side and I have enough old scaffolding boards to just about cover a complete little 4' deck. It hides my unfinished final foundation

And a view of same from the other end. I need a place to put the motorcycle so this is where it's gonna sit for awhile.

Here's the East (or "woods) wall with back door.

Here's the front. I've still got the pickup to fix before I can get the "junk" off the property (that camper's been sitting there for 10 years and the termites and spiders in it are many...it has to go!

And another shot of the front and "Highway" side.

But for the moment, disaster has struck! My van lost a fuel pump yesterday and I haven't the funds to buy another one. Ever tried hauling 2" X 6" X 16' boards in a Mazdz RX7 sports car? And if that weren't enough, the tools I need to remove the tank were stolen from me long ago so I need tools too! And if THAT ain't enough, my air compressor (which is what I use to power the tools) has air fittings broken off in the tank (from having to move it so much and it is heavy!) that I've heated with acetylene and they still won't come out. It would seem I am running out of options. I wonder what life has in store for me next.  That's pretty much it for the moment. Stay tuned for more of the exiting story of "The Cabin" a sow's ear to a silk purse!
