Readme for Yak's MP3 Database
(ok real classy name, but who cares....it works (pretty much all the time :)) and its free :)


How to use:
 SCANNING
   From Windows Explorer:
   1. In Windows Explorer, right click on a folder (preferably the one
      containing some MP3s). The click on the "MP3 Scan" Menu item.

   2. Once Yak's MP3 Database Creator is open, the folder you selected
      in Windows Explorer will be selected, click on the "Scan" button.
      If you did not start Yak's MP3 Database Creator from Windows Explorer,
      Then navigate to the folder you want to scan.

   3. Yak's MP3 Database Creator will begin scanning for MP3 files under
      the folder you have selected.

   4. After scanning, click the "Save DB to.." button.

   5. Save file.


See "sample_db.txt" for a sample DB file

   Options:

     Exclude Base Folder:
       This option Excludes the folder name that was selected when you clicked
       the "Scan" button. This folder name will not be included in the database.
        Example:
         K:\MP3\Alice In Chains\Facelift\02 Man In The Box.mp3
         Will become :
         Alice In Chains\Facelift\02 Man In The Box.mp3
         in the db


      Replace "\" with " - " (dash):
        K:\MP3\Alice In Chains\Facelift\02 Man In The Box.mp3
        Will become
        K:\MP3\Alice In Chains - Facelift - 02 Man In The Box.mp3
        or 
        Alice In Chains - Facelift - 02 Man In The Box.mp3
        if the "Exclude Base Folder" option was selected.
  

      Folders only:
        Scan only folders. Useful for creating Album Database. 

SEARCHING:

 Search String:
   What to search for.
     Example:
      Search for "Black"
      Will find all items in the selected data file containing the word "Black"
      in them. Will also show location of file on disk.

 Data file:
   Data file to search
