Zac and I were convinced to meet up with the rest of the group for our last night in New York City. By convinced, I mean our lives were threatened. Either way, we were heading out for the night. After I got off the phone with Lex, Zac informed me Kate was forcing him out too. Neither of us really had the desire to go, seeing how it was already 11 PM and both of us thought we were in for the night, but also because neither of us drank. Me, because I hate the taste of alcohol, and him because, well, he was still under age. In general, I’m not really a fan of drunk people, especially drunk Lex. Its not often he drinks, thank God, but when he does he’s a real pain to take care of. It’s like he reverts back to being 4 years old. Before we even left the hotel room I was dreading the night before me. Annie had instructed me to change into her jean skirt that she had in the room, and “something revealing.” I love Annie, but sometimes she’s just something else. I figured I would make the best of the situation though and take her advice. If I was going out, I was going out in style…or something. After digging through my bag I found my favorite olive green and gold tank top, then dug through Annie’s to find the jean skirt she told me to wear. To my surprise, the only jean skirt I found was an entire 10 inches long. As if the length didn’t show enough skin, the skirt was worn out and had rather large holes in both the front and back for an aged look. I pulled it out of her bag and held the skirt up. Zac, who was sitting on the bed patiently waiting, questioned “Is that a skirt or a belt?” when he saw it. I laughed and inspected the skirt. “I can’t wear this. If I have to bend over I don’t want the whole world seeing my…my stuff.” “You wouldn’t need to bend over for the whole world to see,” Zac laughed, crossing his arms over his chest. I looked at him and scrunched my nose up. “Ew,” I said shaking my head, before adding, “She’s got to have leggings in here or something.” I tossed the skirt at Zac, then kneeled down again to rummage through her bag. To my luck, she had a pair of black leggings shoved in the bottom. I stood up and Zac handed me the skirt before I ran to the bathroom to change. Before I closed the door behind me, I poked my head out of the room and yelled out to Zac. “Its gunna take me like 15 minutes if you want to head out, I can just meet you there.” “It’s cool. Kate usually takes at least an hour. I’m good at waiting,” He shouted back. I shut the door behind me and quickly pulled my T-shirt over my head. A second later my pants had joined the T-shirt on the ground. I looked around the bathroom until I spotted my make up bag on the counter. I unzipped it and found my bronze eye shadow and mascara. I leaned in toward the mirror and carefully covered my lids with a thin layer of shadow, followed by mascara. I then looked in my bag for lip gloss, but Annie’s red lipstick on the sink caught my eyes. I picked it up and traced my lips with it. I stared in the mirror for a second before nodding in approval. I picked up the skirt and stepped into it. Once I had pulled it up, my fears were confirmed; it barely covered my butt. I can not believe Annie wears this thing in broad daylight. I reached to the counter for the leggings, but they weren’t there. Apparently I dropped them in the other room, so I picked up my tank top and slid it over my head. It was an olive green tank top, with an extremely low scoop front. The green fabric in front was draped across the front and open across the chest, down to just above the bellybutton, with the tight gold sequin section covering from my belly button to my chest. I pulled the ponytail holder out of my hair and flipped my head over. While my head was upside-down I grabbed the hair spray sitting on the counter and doused my hair with it. I flipped my head back up and messed my hair up a little more with my fingers. It had dried messy due to the ponytail earlier, and had the perfect bead head look. I opened the door and yelled, “Cover your eyes,” before I scurried over to Annie’s bag to pick up the leggings I had dropped. Before I bent over to pick them up, I Looked at Zac. He was lying on his back with his legs dangling over the edge of the bed and his hands were covering his eyes. After I picked up the leggings I started to pull them up. I had to scoot the skirt up a little to put them on, but once they were secure I pulled the skirt back down. “Okay, you can open your eyes,” I said gracefully pulling my underwear out of my ass. “These things are the most uncomfortable things ever, damn it. How does everyone wear these things?” Zac stood up and walked toward the door, “You’ve got class, Jovie.” I quickly gathered my purse and key before we left the room.
Once we reached the club we were met by Kate and Annie, who had stepped outside to get some fresh air. “Ooo,” Kate squealed when we she saw us, “Give us a spin, Jovie.” I spun around to model my outfit. “Is everyone else in there?” I asked, looking at Annie. From the looks of it, her and Kate started drinking before we got there. Kate had draped her arm around Zac’s waist and was using him as her support as we walked inside. Sure enough All of the guys were standing by the bar drinking. Isaac was the first to spot us and yelled something as he waved us over. I walked over to Lex and kissed him on the cheek. He already smelled of alcohol and cigarettes. “Hello, Doll, you’re looking hott tonight,” he greeted me. He wrapped both arms around me and drew me into an extremely tight hug, before pressing his lips to mine. “OOOOO! I love this song!” I heard Kate shriek as she grabbed my hand and pulled me toward the dance floor. “L,O,L,O,L,O,L.O.V.E. L,O,L,O,L,O Oh did you hear me say?,” She shouted, completely out of tune and she pulled me through the crowd. I looked back at Zac one last time to see him smiling and shaking his head before I was forced to dance by an extremely drunk Kate. The rest of the time at the bar really wasn’t as bad as I expected. Finally around 1:30 we decided it was time to go home. Everyone had pretty much reached their limits, and we knew were leaving the city in the morning. On the way out of the bar a man standing near the exit whistled in our direction. I didn’t think much of it until I felt Lex's hand let go of my waist. Not even 10 seconds later Lex had decked the man in the face and was screaming at him. Zac and Topher were the first to reach him and pull him away. They shoved him out the front door and I ran toward him. “What the fuck Lex?” I shouted at him even though I was only a foot away from him. He spun around and stared at me before yelling, “Maybe if you didn’t dress like a fucking slut!” I stared at him in disbelief before he grabbed my upper arm. His hand tightened as he pulled me toward him. “You’re dressed like a whore, what the fuck did you think was gunna happen?” He shouted directly in my face. I shut my eyes and turned my face to the side. I could smell the overwhelming stench of alcohol on his breath and feel the heat of it on my cheek. “Huh?” He demanded, jerking me closer to him. I jerked my arm away from him and pointed my finger directly in his face. “Don’t you ever talk to me like that, Lex,” I whispered sternly, staring into his glazed eyes. I looked around to see that no one had noticed, and shook my head. I continued walking, and after a few seconds hesitation he followed behind me. When we arrived at the hotel Zac and I were doing our best to keep the group quiet. Every little thing seemed to be the funniest thing to them. By the time we had all crammed into the elevator, there was no saving them. Around the 3rd floor a repulsive stench had filled the elevator. At first no one said anything, until Annie slowly asked, “Did somebody… do something?” I’m not sure why, but even me and Zac, the sober ones of the bunch started laughing. The elevator doors opened, and Topher, who had been leaning against the doors fell to the ground when they parted, of course sending us all into a fit of laughs again. It felt like I was a preschool teacher ushering her students from recess back to class. “Annie, sweetie, keep your hands to your self, we’re going this way stay with the group, Topher...Topher inside voices, please. Kate, hunny, don’t sit down yet, we’re not there yet. Lex, don’t put that in your mouth…Spit it out right now. Give me your hand. Isaac, that’s not your room, lets keep walking.” Our room was the first stop, so after I opened the door and let Topher, Annie and Lex stumble in I thanked Zac for helping me with them. I walked into the room and flipped the lights on, even though the three of them were okay with stumbling around in the dark. “Any one have to throw up before I go to bed?” I asked, then looked at each of them for a response, “Okay, then I'm going to bed, if you have to puke, keep it down.” I walked toward my bed and spotted my t-shirt and pajama pants off the floor. The first thing I did was take off the god-awful leggings, and then my Tank top and jean skirt, and tossed them on the floor. I was about to unhook my bra when I heard Lex. “What the fuck are you doing?” He asked. He was lying belly down on our bed staring up at me. “I'm changing.” I replied. “In front of Topher and Annie!” he said trying to whisper, but terribly failing. “Lex, they’re so drunk neither of them will remember in the morning,” I explained picking up the T-shirt at my feet. “I’ll remember tomorrow,” Topher piped in, lying on his bed, on his side with his left hand propping up his head. Annie picked up her pillow and hit him over the head with it before diving on the bed. “It’s not the first time I’ve seen Jovie nekkid!” He added before Annie forced her hand over is mouth. I turned around and stared at him, crossing my arms over my chest to hide my boobs. I noticed Annie next to him had also covered her mouth, and was on the verge of cracking up. “Annie!” I spat, demanding an explanation. She just shrugged. “I cannot believe you guys,” I said before quickly dressing again. I got into bed with Lex and turned the lamp off. Once I was comfortable and starting to drift off I felt something moving on my face. It was Lex running his fingers along my cheek. Don’t get me wrong, it would have been a nice gesture if he wasn’t drunk, but instead it was more like a 2 year old affectionately poking me in the eye. “Stop, Lex,” I demanded, rolling over onto my side putting my back to him. He grabbed my arm and tried to roll me onto my back, but I yanked my arm back out of his grasp. He tried again, grabbing my arm and pulling it back. I rolled onto my back and asked, “What the heck do you want?” His reply was a kiss. Not just any kiss, but a very sloppy, wet kiss, followed by a little nibbling. He moved his way down kissing my neck and chest. Out of nowhere I had a stinging pain in my neck. “What the heck? When you’re drunk you turn into a vampire?” I shouted in a whisper before I slapped his chest and rolled back over. He apologized and kissed my cheek. I swatted at his face and shut my eyes.
