Bad Dreams part 5

Rowen crept down the hall the next morning, a camera clutched tightly in one hand. He had practically beaten Sage the night before in order to make him tell him exactly what he had told Kento. As it was he could feel Hardrock's presence coming from Sai's room. He inched the door open…

"Say cheese!"

Kento woke to a blinding flash of light and an utterly fuming Sai.

"Rowen you fucking sod! I'm going to blast you all the way back to England for that!"

"Now, Sai…calm down…"

"Bugger that!"

"Sai…"

The camera was now in Sai's hands.

"Aw c'mon Sai, ya can't tell me ya don't want that pictcha"

"Not in your slimy little hands I don't!"

"Calm down, Sai, please…"

Kento sighed and pushed himself out of bed. "It ain't worth spilling his guts over, Sai, really."

"He wakes me up, from my first good night in ages with a bloody camera! I tell you Kento, that's worth spilling his guts over."

"I don't think so…" Kento hauled Sai over his shoulder. "You aren't ruining my good day by spilling pointless blood." He started to march down the stairs, leaving behind a fallen Rowen. Fallen…from laughing so hard he was clutching his sides in fear they would burst.

"Ah…you can put me down now, Ken." Sai said quietly, half way down the stairs.

"And if I don't want to?"

"Then we're gonna get another picture taken."

Kento set Sai down rather quickly and turned to look up the stairs at a smirking Ryou.

"You too?" He snapped, Ryou merely shrugged.

"Kodak moment?" Offered Sage, presenting a term he would never use himself. Halo was still dressed merely in a silky green bathrobe and he watched his lovers with a somewhat amused air.

"Sage, I will never forgive you if you were in on this."

"It was Rowen's idea."

"Oh?" Rowen had managed to pull himself off the floor. "Was it now? I seem to remember a certain blond suggesting blackmail."

"I merely mentioned it, you were the one who decided I meant Sai and Kento."

"Was I?" Rowen slid round behind Ryou and started nibbling their leader's ear. "I can think of other people to blackmail too."

Sai shuddered slightly. "I think I'll go make breakfast."

Kento nodded. He followed Sai down the stairs, stopping when Torrent's amused voice drifted back to the trio at the top of the stairs.

"And I do hope you three realize that I'm not cleaning up whatever sticky mess you leave up there." Then he disappeared into the kitchen amidst a chorus of "Yes Mom"s.

Sai snorted. "Really, one would think that they'd get it to the bedroom."

"Not them. They don't care," Kento murmured. "What's breakfast?"

"Whatever you want, really. They'll probably be…full."

"Or else really hungry from a workout."

"Yes," Sai giggled as Kento's arms wrapped around him to pull him back into his friend's solid warmth. "Love you, Ken."

"I…thank you, Sai."

"Awww, how cute."

"I thought you were getting fucked," Sai teased the blue haired man who was leaning against the doorway.

" 'M hungry. Ryou's gettin' fucked."

"Ah. Not in the hallway I should hope."

"No, no handcuffs in the hallway." Rowen smirked at Kento's wide eyes and plunked himself down at the table.

"Handcuffs?" Sai asked. "I really don't think I want to know."

"Ya wanna see though," Rowen laughed. "Ryou looks damn good tied up."

"Rowen!"

"Coffee?"

"Make it yourself."

"Phooey on you too," Rowen muttered, getting up and headed for the coffee maker. "Breakfast then?"

"What?"

"Anything. I'm hungry."

"Fine, eggs then."

"Anything but eggs."

"ROWEN!"

"Just kidding, Sai, just kidding."

"You're evil, Rowen. Positively evil."

"I know." Rowen smirked. "Eggs?"

"Yeah, yeah, getting to it."

It was nearly two hours later when Ryou stumbled down followed by a rather smug looking Sage.

"Have fun?" Rowen asked impishly. Ryou glared at him.
v "Was it you that got him the cuffs for his birthday, Ro? Cause I just might have to kill you."

"Yep. Definitely fun."

Sai groaned slightly. "Just eat Rowen. Stop teasing people."

"No."

"You, Rowen, are a pain in the arse."

"No, usually it's th' otha way 'round." Rowen winked at Sai, who groaned again and buried his head in his hands.

"Shut UP, Rowen!"

"Nope."

"Can't anybody shut him up?!" Sai didn't even look up so he missed the grins on Ryou and Sage's faces.

"Sure we can." Ryou's mouth descended over Rowen's.

"My god! You guys are RABBITS! Fucking rabbits I tell you!"

"They're nervous, Sai, let them be."

"Never thought you'd be the voice of reason, Kento."

"Shut up, Sage."

Sage shrugged, trailing his hand over Ryou's neck. "We're not the only one's who're horny."

"Sage…"

"He's right, Ken."

"I know."

"Then…"

Kento grinned. "C'm'ere, Sai." Sai smiled softly, sliding out of his chair and onto Kento's lap, wrapping slim arms around the larger boy, kissing him softly.

"Mmmm, Kento…" Kento's tongue flickered out softly, brushing across the seam of Sai's lips, parting them. Their kiss deepened and they lost themselves in it, the sounds from the three across the table disappearing.

"Oh!" The high pitched, light voice broke through five hazed minds and the Ronins separated themselves from their respective boyfriends and turned to face Avia who was floating a few feet in front of the table. She blushed.

"Uuhhh, Mera said to tell you that we had found the most likely place and…well…there have been certain…developments."

"Developments?" Sage, as usual was the fastest to pull himself together.

"Mera'll tell you."

"In other words stop everything we're doing and follow you."

"Yes."

Sai groaned and slid off of Kento's lap, keeping his death grip on his friend's hand as he went. Avia turned and left through the window. Sage sighed.

"Um, excuse me? We can't leave that way, remember?"

She flitted back into the room. "Silly of me! I totally forgot. Where's your door? I'll meet you outside." She flitted back out the window. Sai shoved everyone towards the door.

"Coats, hats, boots," he demanded. Rowen giggled.

"Yes, mom."

"Hmph. If I didn' remind you you'd run out there in your boxers and then wonder why you were cold."

"Possible." Rowen's voice was suddenly muffled by a thick blue scarf being wrapped around his neck. "Ry-mmph!" He clawed at the thing, freeing his mouth. "Thea's no need ta suffocate me, Ryou. In fact, I'm hurt. I t'ought ya loved me."

Ryou's eyes widened innocently. "I'm just tryin' to keep ya warm."

"I can think 'a bettah ways ta do that."

Sage glared at him. "Not the time, Rowen. We need to concentrate."

"Nervous," was Rowen's muttered reply, but the other four knew exactly how he felt.

A gust of wind hit them the moment they stepped outside and Avia was in front of them.

"We need to hurry." She told them, a near frantic look pacing in her blue eyes.

"Alright."

There was a blaze of fire by the pond when they reached it. The final Elemental, Incenta was standing in it. She had no smooth curves like the other three, but was lanky, all angles. Her blazing hair was long and tattered, as was her dress. Her eyes were black as embers, almost too hot and her smile held mischief. But there was no blue in the fire, it was all reds and oranges, cooler blazes, she seemed short, as if she could not work up a high enough flame. Never the less Ryou seemed entranced by her. Mera was there too, and Tella, who had reached a brown hand to the water and was offering power to the wavering elemental. All three looked over at the Ronins at they entered. Mera nodded.

"Good. We found the perfect spot…and he does seem to have set up some kind of base there…"

"But?"

"But there have been developments."

"Yes," Sage sighed. "Avia said as much."

Tella hmphed. "He killed War. Death was forced to come for his own lover. And he has Famine held hostage. It will be harder than expected."

"How do you mean harder?"

"War has to be brought back to life, for that you need a vessel. In other words you have to find his body which Pestilence kind of…mutilated. It has to be healed before he can reenter it. Then he can help you fight Pestilence. Famine, however, must be released. He can get rid of all the…food carried disease that Pestilence brought. War is your first priority."

"Do we even know where his body is?" Ryou asked, shuddering slightly at the idea of…mutilated.

"We know where to start," came Incenta's crackling voice. "And Avy can take you there."

"Where?"

"India. Buddhist temple." With that a wind swept around the five Ronins whisking them off their feet and out of Japan.

GYAH! I'm sorry, it's getting kinda long I...erm...I think I'm better at writing romance than plot. Oh well, the story will survive.
