Episode 10 Chaos Revisited
The new arrival was stunning, tall slim and elegant. She wore a simple yet effective white dress that accented her figure. Her manner was of a noblewoman.

"Felica? Don't you mean Sigyn? [ok, technical Loki's wife, but Loki didn't mind]"

"Shut up lil' bro!" her voice was much more normal now, "You ruined my entrance!"

"Then you shouldn't try so hard to impress people."

"When you look as good as me, it's not hard to impress."

"How'd she get up here anyway?" Loki asked of no one.

"Erm...she said she knew you," Tails volunteered, "So we bought her up with us."

By now, Sonic had gotten Felica a drink, and Knux and Mina were falling over themselves to attend her.

"So what do you want Sigyn?" Loki asked.

"Felica!" she shouted, "I came to see you lil' bro. Oh, and there is something you can do for me, we'll talk later."

"Sure, whatever," Loki walked away from his sister now, with Tikal.

"Okay," Ame began playing host[ess], "Let me introduce you around," going round the group, he introduced everyone, and explained all relationships that were common knowledge, and what living arrangements were, in a conversational tone.

"Wow, close group," Felica smiled, putting her posh accent back on.

"And judging by the elevator, you're about to meet some more of us." Ame smiled back. Sure enough, Paz, Sapphire and Ruby walked out onto the roof. Seeing the cat-woman, Sapphire walked over and said,

"Hey sweet thing, I'm Sapphire, and you've pulled."

"I'm Felica, and I doubt it. I'm more woman than you could ever handle," was the response he got.

"Leave it Sapphire," Ame butted in, "These are Topaz and ruby, though they should be leaving us soon."

"I'm not planning on staying long myself." Felica sighed, "Do you know any good hotels?"

"I hear they have great hotels in Japan." Loki shouted over.

"I would offer you a room here, but we have three apartments, and they're all kinda full." Ame apologized, "But one sec. Luc, you still got the keys to your old place?"

Luc walked over and kissed Ame, causing Felica to flinch slightly.

"Yup, it's been paid till the end of April."

"Then you can use that." Ame hugged Luc, "And I'm sure you won't mind giving her a lift later."

"Course, I am a taxi driver.[who never seems to go to work]"

"Thanx," Ame kissed him, causing the same reaction in Felica, "Now since everyone's here, I'll fetch dinner. Pizza okay?"

This met with cheers of agreement, so Ame headed for the kitchen.

"So how long you staying for?" Mina asked.

"I think three days tops." Felica was loving all the attention she was getting.

"You, uh, want someone to show you around?" from Sonic.

"You have school tomorrow," Sapphire put in, "And I'm sure she'd prefer more mature company."

"That rules you out then." Knuckles pushed him aside.

"And you'll be busy with me!" Rouge grabbed him by the ear and dragged him to the other side of the roof.

"Don't worry about little ol' me, I need to settle some business tomorrow. After that my lil' bro can show me around, or if not him, then Ame seems nice."

"He is, but he does stuff every day," Luc told her, "You're better of with Loki."

"I have plans," Loki shouted over, "They involve avoiding my sister."

"We need to talk lil'bro, can we go somewhere private?"

"Sure, after we've eaten, otherwise Ame might get offended."

"Of course, but you eat. I'm not much for pizza."

"Sure I can't interest you?" Ame had returned carrying two large pizzas and a garlic bread, "There is a couple more to come, I have to do a range 'cause Tikal's a vegetarian and Amy wont eat anything unless it's low-fat."

"I'll see what there is," Felica smiled nervously.


Super Sonic was pacing back and forth, his normal restlessness was made worse by his agreement not to act without orders.

"Bored bored bored! Gonna go insane gonna go insane!" Around him small fires were starting.

"Calm down. Dr. Robotnik is planning our next move." Metalix's voice only annoyed the demon hedgehog further.

"Don't need him, didn't have him, were three, now two. Don't need him!"

"Shadow was unfortunate, but expendable."

At this, Super Sonic screamed in rage. A chair he was standing next to burst into flames.

"Chaos comes," he said, all mania gone from his voice, "It comes in ice and water."

"What do you mean?" Metalix couldn't understand his friend's sudden change in voice.

"What? What?" the insanity had returned. Metalix called for Dr. Robotnik, and upon his arrival replayed Super Sonic's cryptic message.

"Wow!" the demon hedgehog shouted, "Do you play CDs too?"

"It could be the second Emerald, and judging by what he said, he means Aques, the blue Chaos Emerald!" Robotnik clapped his hands, "Do you know when?" he asked Super Sonic who was trying to eat wax fruit that was melting in his hand.

"As soon as I questioned him about it he retained no knowledge of what he said." Metalix informed the doctor.

"I'll increase my scans. We won't lose this one!"


The following morning at Chao Tower, Luc was awoken by the sound of people moving around. Coming more fully awake, he remembered where he was, and smiled at the memory of the night before [its all innocent due to Ruby being in the next room]. Getting up he borrowed Ames white 'if you want straight' t-shirt [hee hee, ruler] and some of his purple jeans, even though he knew they'd be a little big on him. In the living room, sitting around the table, were Amy, Tikal and Tails, all in school uniform. Ruby was still in the spare room, while Paz, in his normal skater attire, and Sapphire dressed in a tight t-shirt and tighter shorts, were on the couch.

"Hey guys, where's Ame?" Luc asked.

"In here, hun," Ame called from the kitchen, "You want breakfast?"

"Just sweet tea, thanks."

"Sweet tea? Sweetie!" Amy suddenly remembered, "Ame, my mom called for you. Her contract's up for renewal, she'll be phoning you soon."

"When?" Ame walked out of the kitchen dressed in a purple vest-top, and tight purple cut-offs, and handed Luc his tea, and some heart shaped biscuits.

"Um..." Amy thought getting her stuff, "The day after yesterday. Okay, gotta go to school, bye!" she ran out of the door, followed by Tikal and Tails.

"That girl," Ame sighed as he collected dishes.

"Who's Amy's mom, and why would she call you?" Paz asked.

"Tiffany-Marie Rose, and I do readings for her when she has any major decisions."

"Wait a sec," Sapphire interrupted, "The Tiffany-Marie Rose? Star of 'The Hot And The Brainless' and massive screen babe, is Amy's mom?"

"Amy and Tikal's mother, yes. I know her from, wow, about three years back when I used to read for all the stars." Ame had finished washing up. Carrying a plate he said, "Now if you don't mind, I need privacy. So all of you are going as soon as I've given this to Loki."

When Ame had gone, Paz asked,

"How long have you been dating our bro?"

"And more importantly, what was he like when you first met him?" Sapphire joined in.

"I've known him for about two years, and we've been dating on and off for all of it." Luc began, "And when I first met him, he was addicted to booze and speed."

"What?" neither Paz or sapphire could believe it, "Our goody two shoes brother?"

"It's common knowledge now, but when he was coming off it, I was the only one who knew"

Luc stopped talking now, as Ame had walked in, just in time to answer the phone.

"Good morning, cheerful factory, how haooy do you want to be?"

"Does he ever answer the phone normally?" Paz joked.

"Okay, Luc should be with you as soon as Loki is ready. Bye Felica"

Hanging up he turned to Luc, "Tell Loki His sister needs to see him, then take him to your old place, 'k?" Kissing Luc he pushed him out of the door.

"What about us?" Paz asked.

"You and Saph can take Rubes shopping. My wallets by the door, I'll get her ready. Take what you want, but leave my cards."

"Don't call me 'Saph'! Wait, are we just buying for her?" Ame wasn't listening, as he was dragging Ruby out of the room she was in pink again, but a tracksuit.

"Alright if I take the hundreds? I need er… a hundred." Paz was emptying the wallet.

"Just go! Tiffany should be calling soon!"

"We're gone," sapphire said while opening the door.

"I want my hair pink, Ame said I could," Ruby said as the door closed behind them. Ame walked ovver to it, locked it, then went to fetch his cards before waiting by the phone.


As he walked out to his cab, Luc seemed to notice what he was wearing for the first time [hee hee ruler] due to the giggling of a couple of girls.

"I just realized how daft I look in this," Luc laughed. Loki, today wearing black jeans and a Rabi-en-Rose top [usada usada usada] just sighed and said,

"Lets get this over with. I'm trying to complete Gunbird 2."

"You not happy to see your sister?" Luc had unlocked the doors, and Loki climbed in the back.

"What do you think?"

"I think you've been through a terrible ordeal, and since you have no-one like I have Ame, it's even worse for you, plus what else happened to you."

"Not just that I hate my sister?"

"That too, and I can relate. I hate my parents, but for different reasons."

The rest of the drive was in silence, until they got to Luc's old place.

Felica was waiting outside with her luggage, wearing something that Rouge would consider revealing. "I'm not staying there another hour, never mind another night!" she said as Luc loaded her luggage into the trunk.

"Hey, that place did me for six years," Luc protested, "But it is a bit of a dump."

"Good job Ame came to your rescue," Loki called out to them.

"Hey lil' bro."

"Hi Sigyn."

"FELICA!!!!"

"Where to?" Luc broke in.

"To the office of Ridgestone, Shotgun and Drivel, solicitors. It's on…"

"I know where it is, I drive round for a living." Luc drove off when Felica was in the front passenger seat.

"So where you planning on staying?" Loki asked.

"I'll look around today."

"In that case I'll take your luggage back to Ame's for you, no sense dragging it around, huh?" Luc smiled.

"He's a really nice guy, and a good cook to, but what's Ame short for? He wouldn't tell me."

"Amethyst." Loki informed her.

"Well I'm sure Amethyst knows how to show a girl a good time."

This caused both Loki and Luc to burst out laughing.

"What? Did I say something?" Felica was totally confused.

"Er, were you listening when Ame did introductions?" Loki asked, in a mocking tone.

"Or actually on the same roof as us?" Luc joined in.

"Please, I'm irresistible to all men, and most women. Besides, Luc, you're just an accessory. Didn't you know 'Gay' is in this season? [if it is then i am extremely fashionable lolh]"

Having reached their destination, Felica got out, and Loki turned to Luc saying,

"Don't tell him about it, I wanna see how much of a prat she makes out of herself."

"That will be a shoe worth watching. I'm in." Then in Felica style voice,

"She doesn't stand a chance against me."


"Why is he doing this to me?" Amy was on the verge of tears. The squad had just finished practice, and were all in uniform.

"Who doing what?" said Vikki, another blonde cheerleader.

"Sonic! So far he's been slapped by six girls, laughed at by four, and ignored by two."

"What would you prefer, for one to say yes?" Rouge asked taking a drag on her ciggarette, "Men don't like available girls. Treat 'em mean, and keep 'em keen."

"So maybe you should date someone else?" said Sharon, another blonde.

"But I only want Sonic!" Amy wailed.

"Then use someone. I hear that Heero has a massive crush on you." Hilary smiled, [yes, yet] another blonde.

"This from the gossip queen herself." Rouge kept up the disinterest, and finished her smoke.

"Yes, I could pretend to date him, that'll make Sonic really jealous." Amy smiled. "Don't these girly chats really help?"

"In that case, I have a problem." Rouge brushed back her hair.

"Scarlette's finishing her lithium soon, so mom and dad want her to have friends, mine."

"Scarlette? Oh, Scarlette, how is she?" Hilary knew everyone, and wanted more info on what could be good gossip.

"Who is she?" Vikki asked.

"My twin sister, she was diagnosed with depression at 15, so doesn't get out much."

"Sure. We'll make her feel welcome!" Amy cheered, "Now, where's Heero?"


Sonic was sitting holding his bruised cheek. Next to him was Heero, his best friend at school, and a fellow surfer.

"You'd think they'd just say no or something, huh?"

"Well, only around 5% of communication is verbal, maybe they need to save up how much they can talk?"

"You know, maybe I should widen my search. I don't think I've asked a big enough range of girls."

"Give it up. Miss Right wont just walk up to you and say.."

"Um, hi Heero," Amy and the cheerleaders had found the boys, "You wanna do something some time soon?"

"Sure, how's Saturday, say 10:00?" [okay, 10:00]

"Okay, we can mall crawl with Rouge and Knuckles. See you then."

"Hi Sharon," Sonic tried his luck.

"Hi?"

"You wanna date?"

"Um… no?"

"Sure?"

"Um… yes?"

"Bye, Sonic," Amy said pointedly, then walked off. Sitting down again, Sonic smiled,

"Dude, you were saying?"


"All we need is a signature from both of you to unlock the assets." Mr. Shotgun had seen to Loki and Felica personally.

"So do you sign Sigyn or fellatio?"

"FELICA!!!" she screamed at him. After both had signed, they were lead into a safe, containing most of the solid assets of their parents.

"Should have known you only needed me for money," Loki whispered to her.

"I'm a successful showgirl in Vegas," she replied in a singsong manner.

"These are the belongings of Thor and Sif Valhalla. We can transfer straight to a bank vault, but anything you want to take, go ahead."

"Can you help me find mom's jewelry, y'know, the really big stones." Felica began to dig

"I don't want anything," Loki said. Turning to leave something familiarly shaped caught his eye, "Except maybe..."

Walking over to it, he saw he was right. The colour was different, but he knew it was a Chaos Emerald.

"What you found lil' bro?" Felica walked over to him. "Oooo, pretty. Oh wow, you found it!" she was distracted by an open jewelry box [yes something shiny].

"Sis, can I use your mobile phone?"

"Sure, but how'd you know I got one?" Taking it he punched in Ame's number.

"Er, hi," Luc answered, "Ame can't use the phone right now, his mouth is otherwise occupied." In the background, Loki heard sucking noises.

"Tell him to finish his lolly later." Loki said unimpressed.

"You're no fun. so how can I help?" Ame said eventually.

"Get Luc to pick us up asap, and bring Koukan."

"Sure, on our way."


Horatio had been testing his ability. So far none of his personal staff could argue with him, but none could interpret his will unless actually given orders. Fenrir had been left out so far, he was the final test. Readying himself, Horatio sent for his aide.

"Ah, Fenrir," Horatio greeted him, making eye contact, "What is my schedule for tomorrow?"

"I originally cleared it, you needed it for if you plans had gone better. If you like i can arrange a tour of our flagging or best performing areas, but this is just a suggestion."

"You remember not long ago, I opened up to you? Don't worry, the security is off."

"Yes, what about it?"

"Hmm, I told you to forget, no matter. The gun on the table. Pick it up and shoot me." Horatio told him.

"What? I couldn't," Fenrir forgot himself and Horatio's ability, "It's illegal, I mean, er..." he hung his head.

"I thought so. It's a feline immunity. I can no more control you than I can Loki. So why not admit it?"

"It's true. I follow orders from you because you employ me," Fenrir went for broke, "And because I feel that I am in love with you."

"This changes our professional relationship greatly."

Horatio's expression didn't change, "I can no longer count on your complete loyalty."

"You can. I would do anything for you, anything."

"Very well," he sighed, "Since you haven't let me down so far you can continue to be my aide. Now we have the professional side out of the way, we should discuss our private relationship."

Looking up, Fenrir saw Horatio's seductive smile, and that his face was only inches away.


Pulling up kerbside, Ame jumped out of the cab and ran into the office. Seeing Loki holding a gem just like the one in his backpack, he gasped,

"Aques, of ice and water."

"What? Oh Amethyst! I found this and knew you'd love it!" Felica held out a silver chain bracelet, covered with small silver bells.

"That is beautiful, thank you!" he took it and hugged Felica. "Back to the subject, we gotta get that somewhere safe. Let's discuss it back home." Outside Ame showed Luc his new bracelet, while Felica smiled smugly.

Driving back, they saw a traffic drone begin to follow them.

"You going to fast?" Ame asked.

"No, I never do."

"Try to lose it. Now!" Loki called from the back.

"Huh? Why?" Felica looked out of the back window, screamed "It's gonna fire!" then fainted dramatically.

"Psycho Shield!" Ame defended them against the shock pulse. "How powerful are they?"

"Just strong enough to short out a car's electric's."

"It's after the Emeralds, we have to disable it," Loki realized, "Turn off here, it's an old car park."

Doing as he was told, Luc turned sharply before both Ame and Loki jumped out.

"Hide" they both called to him.

"I'll distract, you disable." Ame told Loki.

"How?"

"Use the Emerald?" Ame's field took all the damage, leaving him free to run, while Loki figured out his next move.

"Okay, think. Ice, ice, er... Sailor Mercury?" Loki grabbed the first ice-using character he could think of. Lifting the Emerald he said, "Hope this works. Shine Aqua Illusion!"

The drone was hit by a sudden stream of water, formed from Aques, which froze it solid.

"Go Loki!" Ame called out as he struck a victory pose, "Now lets split."

"Good idea," Luc had circled, and was back. They jumped in and were out of the area before help arrived.

Dr. Robotnik repeatedly hit his control panel until it broke.

"Damn!" He threw the pieces across the room. "So close. I could have had three Emeralds."

"Three?" Metalix questioned.

"I have the turquoise Emerald, Celetus, in a vault downstairs."

"If you let one of us use it it could increase our power greatly."

"I've tried using it, but only one who is destined to hold it can use it as a single."

"So those who have them now are destined to hold them?"

"Yes, but no-one said for how long."


Getting back late, due to using routes that avoided traffic drones, the guys had thought of what to tell Felica when she woke up. When she did finally come she dismissed the entire episode, without question. With people due back from school soon, Ame started cooking, while Loki thought of what to do with his new possession.

"I could put it in a bank vault?" he suggested.

"But banks get robbed," Luc pointed out.

"And you could lose your new powers if you don't have it." Ame called through.

"Loki has powers?" D had walked in, "Oh wow, another Emerald!" she was followed by the rest of the guys.

"How is it that no-one finds one for centuries, then suddenly two turn up?" Mina asked, resenting the fact that she never made any discoveries.

"Could be me, I did a 'calling out' spell with Koukan, to find them." Ame admitted.

"Huh?" from most of the group.

"Like a love spell, but for things, not people."

"You do love spells?" Sonic asked.

"Sure, it's a side business, like my Tarot reading."

"Okay everyone, great news!" Felica walked in, having been on the phone for the last twenty minutes.

"Your condition is terminal?" Loki asked.

"Naw, lil' bro, I'm staying here. I got a job at Casinopolis, and I'm moving in to 309."

"We'll be neighbors?" Loki's face fell.

"Oh good, now I don't feel so bad about going." Ame smiled, "I gotta go back home for my grandmothers funeral, and now I can leave you in charge.


no cliff-hanger, but this was a chara ep, not a big plotty thing. i should
have done this earlier, but here goes. all Sonic characters belong to
Sonic Team. Ame, Luc, Mina, Fenrir, Paz, Saph, Rubes, and d are mine,
though some are based on real people. Loki and Horatio belong to loki-kun
[except when Loki belongs to Horatio]
