Episode 16 Hello and Goodbye

Klonoa and D burst into Ame's apartment. Seeing no-one, Konoa called out,

"Ame, you in here? We kinda got a problem."

"I'm here," he said walking out of his bedroom. A strange aroma seemed to cling to him. "What's the crisis?"

"This." D produced Gaiya from her bag. Ame blinked in disbelief. "I think it has an affinity for Klonoa."

"He used it? You used it?"

"It kinda used me." Klonoa said, slightly worried, "I felt a massive presence flow through me."

"Is that how it is with you?" D asked reffering to how Ame was with Koukan.

"No, Koukan whispers to me, she advises me."

Tails had walked out of the bathroom, dressed in a bathrobe, still damp from his shower.

"What's going on?" he asked, although he had heard most of what had been said. After a quick explanation, Tails put forth a theory. "Could it be because Gaiya is in tune with all life? I mean, Aques is in tune with all water, but there's really only one kind, but Gaiya is in touch with countless numbers and types of life, right?"

"You could be right," D agreed.

"All I know is I'm not using it, or letting it use me again." Klonoa stood true to his earlier proclimation.

"with practise you could become as skilled with your Emerald as I am with mine," Ame soothed.

"No way!"

"It should be your choice," D tok up the arguement, "But this is a gift that you posses. Imagine the good you can do."

"I suppose," Klonoa weakend.

"And I'll be helping," Ame smiled, "We could try again now. With my control, it should be easier."

"Please?" Tails smiled innocently at him.

"Okay, but if the same thing happens, I'm giving up."


Scarlette was waiting for Paz. She had managed to find clothes that she thought were suitable, and now all she needed was..

"Hey there!" Paz called over, "Sorry, I know it's not polite to keep a lady waiting, but it couldn't be helped, I.. er..." he trailed off.

"Just to see you here is great, so don't worry 'bout being late." Scarlette smiled.

"So why you call me?" Paz was pushing it, but offerd his arm, as both a joke, and a show of affection.

"To leave the house, to spite my sis, and for scenery like this," she indicated the beach as she finished, then took his hand as they began walking.

They walked along the beach , Paz making fun of everyone. They both felt comfortable in each other's presence, so it didn't seem strange as they got closer while walking. Soon, without noticing, they were walking with an arm around each other. Paz looked down at Scarlette, and said,

"You're not like any other girl I know."

"Let me guess, they had no timing, so of course, they did no rhyming."

"You don't have to keep that up with me."

"There's something here that you don't see, the rhyming's who I choose to be."

"But people don't get it. They only see that it makes you different."

Scarlette drew back from Paz a little, but they contiued to walk holding hands. although he wasn't good at reading people, Paz knew he had offened Scarlette, and he wasn't sure how to change this.

Scarlette was wondering how right Paz was. Her rhyming really did make her different, and although she did like to stand out, did she really want to be known as 'that girl who always rhymes'?


Robotnik's security drones were coming in for there weekly recharge and download. The doctor was especially interested in any information that his upgraded robots had. Up to yet, Metalix's plan had had no results. He was about to write off the short range scanning as a colossal waste of time and money, but he still had five reports to check.

"Useless!" he threw aside the disc from the first, and inserted the second. "Failure!!" the second had the same fate as the first he put in the third, "Jun... wait!"

His eyes were drawn to a spike. It was just after powering up, and was barely noticeable, unless you knew what to look for.

"Now to find out where unit 225 started its patrol!" Opening several files, he finally found the drone rosters and patrol routes.

"lets see... 225 was part of unit 19..... who started..... here!" He prodded the map on screen, and the area magnified. The whole area was surrounded by tall buildings, and some public places, and it was just before the morning rush.

"Damn!!!" Since the reading didn't match any of the previous Emerald encounters, Robotnik didn't think to check for canine anthropomorphs in the area, he just decided that more of his upgraded drones should patrol there.


Knuckles had been wandering around Station Square. He had phoned Rouge, but only got her answer machine. That was strange, as she said she was hosting a cheerleader meeting, and should be in all day. He was looking for the girls, and figured the mall would be a god place to find them. Outside, he saw Sonic.

"Hey Knux," he called, "Where you off to?"

"Looking for Rouge," he replied, "Said she'd be in with the cheerleaders today, so I thought I'd try and rescue her."

"Huh? you sure she said cheerleaders?" Seeing the Echidna nod, Sonic shrugged, "'K, just that Heero said he had a date with Amy today."

"Must be after," Knuckles suggested.

They walked into the mall, and saw a couple of blonde girls, both, they recognised as cheerleaders. They waved, but Knuckles became much more suspicious.

"I'm gonna go back to Rouge's, an wait for her," he said, turning to leave.

"Um.. no need... She's upstairs, but she's mnot alone..." Sonic pointed to the second flor, and true enough, Rouge was standing there, being kissed by an older man.

"The.... the bitch!" Wasting no more time, Knuckles jumped onto a wall and climbed up to where she was standing. "Hello, Rouge."

"Knuckles!" She gasped, "I... I... it's not what it looks like." by now Sonic had ran up the stairs, and stood next to Knuckles.

"Don'y do anything rash, dude."

"You know what it looks like to me?" Knuckles asked, "It looks like I've been used by a two-timing slut, and it looks like we're through. C'mon Sonic."

As they both left, Rouge shouted,

"Well good ridance! I don't need you! I can have any man I want!" and to the man next to her, "Lets get out of here Andrew."

Outside, Knuckles turned to Sonic, and said,

"How could she do this to me?"

"If it helps, I know where Ame keeps a stash of alcohol..." Sonic suggested. Wanting to numb the pain, Knuckles nodded, and the pair went off to get drunk.


Klonoa had spent the morning trying to get to grips with Gaiya, under Ame's non-to gentle tuition. He had some success, but was tired now. Since both Ame and D had things to do, he was left alone in the apartment with Tails.

"What d'ya wanna do?" he asked.

"How 'bout some food, than you get some rest?" Tails had been working on a lolly, and saw how exhausted Klonoa looked.

"Why not skip the food, and go straight to bed?" Klonoa then began kissing the foxboy.

Amy suddenly walked in. As the door was directly behind Klonoa, she only got a back veiw, but still gasped in shock.

"What are you guys doing?!" Klonoa turned quickly to face her, and Tails thought fast, then dropped his lolly between them, before saying,

"Amy, you ruined our game!"

"Huh? Wha?" Amy wondered what he meant, until he retrieved the falen sweet.

"We were seeing who would get this if we only used our mouths."

"Oh," Amy was glad for the explanation, "Is Ame around? He said I could use his pink nail varnish, I've run out."

"No, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind you geting it." Tails told her. She quickly went into Ame's room, and got what she was looking for, then left, not sure that she had been told the truth.

"Quick thinking," Klonoa said, "But lets carry on behind locked doors." He dragged Tails into his bedroom, locked the door, and started kissing his boyfriend again.

Tails went a little shy, then said,

"I asked Ame about, well, how two guys have sex," at this he flushed crimson, "And he told me, well, erm..."

Klonoa pulled of Tails' shirt, and began kissing his chest, slowly, causing Tails to gasp, and lie back on his bed. Next came off the shorts and underwaer in one, to reveal the foxboy's erection. Suddenly realising he was wearing to many clothes, Klonoa stood and striped himself, before lying next to Tails, holding him close, and whispering,

Ame walked back into his apartment as they boys had just dozed off. He knew that he wouldn't be getting much sleep tonight. It was the time he had been waiting for, full moon. He had spent a little time buying supplies, flowers, and a few herbs. He doubted that they'd be much help, but he would use everything he had. Not feeling tired enough to sleep, even after a shopping trip and a jog, Ame took a concoction containing Belladonna. If he slept until moonrise, he should have the strength for what he needed to do. He'd checked it with the hospital, and tonight would be the night that Shadow would be awakened, he hoped. As the drink began to work, Ame remembered why he never used it. It gave him dreams, dreams of things he wished to forget, but it was too late to change it.

He was 2 again. His parents were trying to explain to him that he'd be getting a little brother, but Ame only wanted to play, and was left with Diamond.

"I was too young to care." the sleeping wolf said to the world. Suddenly he was 5, sitting at Diamond's feet, learning how to control the stange force that he had used by accident to hurt Topaz. His grandmother's smile was warm, and she told him of magicks and herblore.

He is 8 now, and he sees a boy with long red hair standing outside his gate. he approaches him, opens the gate and says,

"Hello, I'm Amethyst." in the way of any trusting child.

"I'm Marc," the boy replies, nervously.

"I like your long hair. You wanna come in an' play? We have a really big maze."

For the rest of the day, they get lost in the maze. They don't know how close they wil become.

"If only we'd known."

He is 10. His parents agree to divorce. When they tell their children, Sapphire shouts at the both, then runs off into the house. Topaz cries, but Ame remains silent. Later he goes into the maze, where he feels safe, and is soon joined by Marc. He explains about his parents, Marc tries to comfort him, but instead, recives a kiss, and is made to promise never to leave him.

"I never cried. I saw it coming."

14 approaches, and oncemore he is at the center of the maze. His new half-sister is keping everyone awake. Tonight Marc sleeps here with him, and tonight they lose thenselves to one another, and consumate their relationship, their love.

"I don't want to see any more!" Ame cried, trying to wake himself. Marc's bedroom at 16, and Ame plaits Marc's long hair. Marc's parents are away, and they begin to kiss, passionately. Marc's father walks in, Ame parents are called. No-one speaks in their defence, and Marc is sent away. He is made to leave, and he only cries for the loss of his love and his Grandmother, he doesn't care about the rest of them.

"Stop it!"

At 18 his life is a mess. Alcohol puts him to bed at night, drugs wake him for the morning. He sleeps around, exploits what he knows of the mystical arts. One night, this changes, and so does his life, all for the better.

"Luc, you were so much like him."

20 now. He stands in front of Koukan.

"I am sorry," She is whole, not just her heart, "But things will become worse for you than they ever have. You will lose those who you care for most."

"NO!" Ame sat straight up in his bed, both Klonoa and Tails had heard him crying out in his sleep, and wanted to make sure he was alright. One was on each side of his bed, both looked scared.

"Are you okay?" Tails asked.

"I'm fine." Ame lept from his bed to the barthroom, to wash away the memories, and his tears.


Scarlette had spent the morning with Paz. Unfortunatelt it wasn't the romantic beging to a solid relationship she had hoped for. Although, she thought, it's better to get these things out now, rather than waste time on something that was going nowhere. She had wandered alone for most of the afternoon, and was just returning home.

Outside, she saw a car that she didn't recognise pulling off. Scarlette dismissed it as one of Rouge's 'gentlman callers'. Pushing thoughts of Paz aside, she opened the front dor, and walked into the livingroom, and into a scene she never would have expected.

"Rouge, are you crying?" Scarlette asked, too shocked to even rhyme.

"Oh, it's only you." Rouge stood up, and instantly banished the tears. "I though that idiot Andrew had come back."

"Why would youy cry for him?"

"Cus Knuckles an me broke up, and I'm 'crying at the thought of loosing him', or at least the expensive gifts he's always buying me. By the way, why weren't you here to give Knucklehead some story?"

"I was, well, invited out, so you don't care that he found out?" Scarlette lied.

"Not at all, saves me the trouble of dumping him later."

"You snare in men, like some dark witch, then cast them off, you heartless bitch!" Scarlette snapped as she left for her room.

"Thank you," Rouge caled after her, her voice loaded with sarcasm.

When she was sure she was alone again, the facade fell from Rouge, and once more the tears overwhelmed her. She knew that she'd lose Knuckles, but had still cheated on him. She didn't deserve him, and now was when she found out, and he could move on, and her get what she desevred. As she ran to her rom, rain started to fall, as heavily as the tears from her eyes.


Sonic and Knuckles were caught in the worst of the rain. Both were soaked to the skin, and both were drunk. They walked along the beach with no real direction, save forward.

"I think it's raining," giggled Sonic eventually.

"That's why we're wet!" Knuckles laughed. Seeing his beach hut ahead, Sonic suggested,

"Look, shelter!" raising peals of laughter from both.

They eventually got to it and collapsed inside. I was dry and warm, so both boys were happy. With al the drink gone, Sonic wondered what they were going to do now, and Knuckles supplied the answer, albeit by accident, when he said,

"Damnit. Alcohol always makes me fell horny."

"Well, I'm not standing here soaked for another second." Sonic pulled off his clothes, and wrapped a towel around himself to cover his growing erection. he hung his clothes on a radiator before asking, "You wanna dry your stuff too?"

"Sure" Knuckles unashamedly pulled offhis clothes, handed them to Sonic, and stoo naked, his erection pointing almost straight up before asking, "Can I get a towel too?"

"You weren't lying about being horny!" Sonic exclaimed, unable to stop staring, "I'd sort that out if I were you."

"Jerking off just doesn't help that much anymore." Knuckles said, stroking himself distractedly. He had just noticed the bulge in Sonic's towel, and the lust in his eyes.

"Mabe I can then."

In one quick movement, Sonic was on his knees and had his lips around the head of Knuckle's dick. The Echidna-boy didn't know how to react. his alcohol clouded mind was being further misted by pleasure. He moaned, then thrust into Sonic's mouth

The hedgehog-boy picked up where he left off, leaving Knuckles gasping, and almost forgetting wht he should be doing, but Sonic's towel had fallen when he was picked up, and the cock before his face reminded him.

Knuckles effortlessly took most os Sonic's shaft in one go. he forced his mind to think about what Sonic was doing, what he liked, and what Rouge used to do. He put his arms around Sonic, and joined him in slumber.


Ame had slipped Luc some Valairien, and rented Tails and Klona a video. His sleep aid would keep Luc under for the night, he just wished he'd remembered it earlier. Hopefully, the boys would be too involved with the video, and each other, to miss him.

Ame was taking no chances and caught the bus to the hospital, he had no idea how he'd get back. Once there, he followed a familiar route, almost without thinking. The moon was full, the time was almost right, what he neded was luck. Unfortunately, it wasn't that easy.

"Oh, hi, what're you doing here so late?" Nurse Anna was making the rounds, and was shocked to see him.

"It's a religious thing for Shadow. I have to do it at night, and it has to be tonight. I did get permission." It was a weak story, but the hospital had bought it. Nurse Anna wasn't so sure.

"okay, just don't leave too many of those flowers around."

"Sure."

Ame left the nurse to her buisness, and went to Shadow's side.

"Hi again, guess who." Ame tried to lightenhis mood. "I can definately say that this has a high chance of maybe working. Only thing I'm sure about is, if this fails, I'm outta ideas."

Ame then began the tedious job of placing herbs, flowers, stones and crystals around the room, at pre-measured points. Finally he tok out Koukan and placed it at Shadows feet, between them both.

"Here goes everything.
From his body, far you roam,
Soul I call be guided home,
Your mortal home no more can wait,
To where you are I make a gate,
His life should be no longer paused,
Koukan undo the harm I caused!"

A purple flash filled the room. The nurses monitoring Shadow saw he had flatlined, and that his call button was being pressed. Ana had seen and felt the flash, and ran. Inside the room, all the flowers were dead and brittle, all the candles were just pools of wax. but the most shocking thing was that the bed was empty. She wasn't sure what to think, until she heard from the other side of the bed, someone call,

"please. help, I think he fainted."

Rounding the bed, she saw Shadow, cradling Ame's head, and as more nurses arrived, they saw him placing the wolf-guy on the bed no-one thought he'd leave.


strange hapening huh? Sonic and knux gettng together, shadoew waking up, loki+tikal dissaperaing [ok, i just couldn't find anything for them to do or say] and finally, ROUGE HAVING A HEART!!! even i'm not sure what's happening.
