Episode 7 Chaos Explained?
"What?" Paz had the stone taken from him by Mina.

"A Chaos Emerald! One of the fossiled hearts of the Gods that created this planet, and maybe, this universe!" D said.

"Its name is Koukan, it's the Purple Emerald of the spirit." Ame had regained conciousness.

"Will someone please tell me what you're all going on about?" Loki complained, he felt really out of the loop.

"At the begining of time, nothing existed, except The Master Emerald," Mina began, "This somehow gave birth to seven being with enormous power. Each of them used an aspect of this power to create everything. They were worshippe as Gods by everyone, but their chosen race was the Echidna. Happiness and civilisation prospered, until The Fall From Grace."

"The Gods could no longer interfere directly with the world they had made," D continued, "So they watched and guided the development. However they soon discovered that their little world was to be destroyed by something much more powerful than them. An entity known only as 'The Beast of Anti-life' was heading towards Earth. So fond of our world, the Gods combined all of their power into one final attack against this apocalyptic creature."

"The Beast was utterly destroyed," Mina again, "but the Gods were weakened unto death. As a last act, each of them empowered their hearts, and allowed them to fall to the planet, and into the care of the Echidna. These were called The Chaos Emeralds. The rule of Echidnopolis lasted for millenia, but it was overthrown by the other species of the planet as they became greedy, demanding tributes." [this is all Ame recogning]

"After this, most legends get very hazy." D finished, "But no-one has found an Emerald until now."

"The Emeralds were stolen by several races, each hoping to use the power for themself. Each Emerald's power is small, together they are unstoppable. Koukan was stolen by a white Luna, and has been passed through my family since." Ame was almost fine now.

"How do you know that?" Tikal asked.

"He told me, Koukan, all about what happened to him."

"I think that Ame needs to rest," Luc said, "I'll make sure he's okay tonight." The guys agreed and left. When Luc was alone with Ame in his room, he said,

"Your eyes, they've changed."

"What?" Ame ran to a mirror. "Purple? They should be blue." Ame was unaware that Luc caught him, as he fell once more.


Returning to the Kintobor building, Super Sonic and Metalix were confronted by Dr. Robotnik, and he was not pleased.

"Where have you been?" he shouted.

"I detected high amounts of Chaos energy, we investagated." Metalix answered.

"You have an Emerald? Wonderful!"

"No, no, no! Strange Wolf, high power, wouldn't burn. Wouldn't Burn!" Super Sonic recieved a confused look from the doctor, until Metalix said, "It had empowered an anthropomorphic male wolf. Our attacks were stopped by some kind of shield, and Shadow has been incapacitated, maybe perminantly."

"So you didn't get the Emerald, and lost a team-mate? You are useless!" Robotnik was really shouting now, until showing more than normal awareness, Super Sonic said,

"Physically, he was immoveable, but everything is weak somewhere."

"It's just a case of finding out how to get to him." Metalix agreed.

"Very good, what do you know about him?" Robotnik loked from face to face, "Well? Anything?"

"Don't know, don't know! Power like mine, felt before." Super Sonic started ranting again.

"We engaged him in an empowered form. It would be foolish to think that this is his actual form." They had only seen silver Amethyst, so couldn't identify him.

"Fine, I'll run a check of all dog- or wolf-people. how hard can it be to find one in this city?" the doctor would do this later. "Well this hasn't been a total waste has it?"

Ignoring any response, Robotnik left for his own rooms. He was as affected by reports of Shadows death as Metalix was.


Horatio was smilingas his pilot landed. From Fenrir's descrition he assumed that one of his fathers new servants had been eliminated. Any blow to his father was a success for him. If he hadn't been alone, he would have gone down for the Emerald, but with Loki there, he couldn't have just taken it without a fight, and he didn't want to show his old love that he knew about his presence.

He took a shower [fond memories for him hee hee], then considered the coming week. Mostly meetings took up his time for the next two days. Wednesday was almost clear, and he was sure that Fenrir could rearrange his meetings for then. he had until then to plan his course.

Taking on the Emeralds owner directly could prove hard. Horatio didn't know what kind of mental shields he had and if his mind control would work. he had an advantage against his father, he had seen the aftermath of the fight, and had a photographic memory. He coud check up onthe licsence plate of the taxi they left in.

Retiring to his bed, he thought how best to us what he knew, and also of all the money the buisness would be worth. With his mind racing like this, he was unable to focus on the small voice that came in his sleep, and therefore Tikal was unable to reach him that night.


Waking late, Ame was almost unable to get out of bed. Looking at his clock, he saw it was 12:00. This shocked him. Throwing on his purple robe, he rushed from his room, ans saw that Luc was sleeping on a chair, Sapphire was washing dishes, and Paz was keeping Ruby happy. All wore what they had on the day before.

"Did everyone get off to school?" Ame asked when he had calmed a little.

"Yup, I made them breakfasts and sent them off." Sapphire finished what he was doing.

"Luc sat by your bed most of the morning, he came out at 11:30 and just collapsed." Paz informed him.

"Amethyst, you got funny eyes." Ruby said. Going to a mirror he saw they were still purple.

"I know sweet, I know." Ame sighed. Luc had woken up now, Ame smiled at him but didn't go over.

"Hey Ame, you feeling any better?" Luc asked. A nod was the answer he got. Worried he asked, "Whats wrong?"

"Headache. Just let me get some Nettle juice." Going onto the kitcen Ame's eyes were half closed.

"Is he okay?" Sapphire and Paz shrugged, neither knew. Returning Ame told Luc,

"I think we need to talk, about last night, in private."

"Of course, I mean, there's so much I want to ask you about. I'll let you get ready first. Ame walked into the bathroom to wash and out of his room a few minutes later dressed in baggy purple jeans and a baggy purple sweater.

"Lets get going then. I'll see you in a min guys." Ame hadn't smiled since Luc had first woken up. Leaving his apartment, Ame and Luc walked down to the cab, then drove to the waterfall at Station Gardens in silince.


Tails had been avoiding Klonoa all morning. He had sat next to Amy on the bus, hidden in Knuckles' group when they got there, and stayed in the library all recess. Lunch was coming fast, and Tails had run out of excuses and places to hde.

After what Ame had said to him [insert flashback here if you must], he hadn't wanted to confront his friend, in case Ame had been misinformed, or he was wrong himself. The class ended, and Amy grabbed him.

"Klonoa's been wondering why you're avoiding him."

"I'm not, it's just I wanted to meet the football players, and I had some stuff to look up."

"you're lying. Whatd wrong?" Ame's secret keeping skills were slightly better than her knowledge of sub-atomic physics, so Tails was defensive.

"I was gonna eat lunch with him. You coming?" [no its just how this skirt hangs.... sorry]

"Cheerleader meeting." She waved and walked off, "Bye."

Tails started walking towards the cafeteria, but changed his mind and went out to the playing field to watch Sonic play soccer with his friends. Sitting down with his lunch, he was surprised when Klonoa sat next to him.

"Klonoa, hi, I was just looki for you." Tails lied.

"funny, looked like you were watching Sonic'steam trying to beat Heero's [more from Heero later]. can I have a word with you in private?" Klonoa didn't wait for an answer, but dragged Tails by the hand to one side. "Judging by how you're acting, Ame probably let it slip. am I right?"

"Yes," Tails hung his head, "but it was an acident."

"The way I see it, we have three choices. One, pretend it never happened and stay friends." Klonoa had been thinking about this. "two, I stay away from you, of three......"

"Lets just stay as friends, okay?" Tails let three go unspoken.

"Sure, friends. Well, lets get back to the match." Klonoa went ahead of Tails, and both sat down and ate, quietly.


Reaching their destination, Ame had barely said anything, but now took Luc to a seat.

"What's wrong? You seem really down." Luc stated the obvious. Ame shook his head to clear it, then said emotionlessly,

"What you saw was the power I have, amplified by Koukan. I've kept these abilities from you because of how strange they are."

"But now I know about them, we can go on a normal, right?" Luc didn't like his boyfriends tone.

"No. Becoming Silver Amethyst opened my eyes. I purposely avoided attacking my froiends, I did this because I care for them. When I saw you, I felt nothing."

"What do you mean?"

"I don't love you. I think I've always known, but now it's so obvious that I can't pretend anymore." Ame's voice was empty of feelings still.

"We should do this now so we can both move on."

"But I don't want to, I love you, isn't that enough?" Luc was pleading. "I can change for you!"

"Please don't make a scene." Ame handed him a small box, saying, "Take back your heart, and give it to someone who will truly cherish it." The box contained the Amethyst heart Luc had given to him. "Goodbye Lucas."

As he rose, Luc tried once more.

"I love you with every part of myself, you can't just leave me."

"I just did. Don't call me, don't come to see me." Ame walked off into the park, runing once he was out of Luc's sight, and no longer holding back the tears that stung his eyes.

Luc sat alone staring at the heart unable to move, only crying and softly saying,

"Even if you don't want it, my heart will always be yours." Suddenly, it began to rain.


The doctors were extremly puzzled. They had tried everything, but all in vain. The body was working, it just needed fluids. he could be kept alive, but he wouldn't be aware of anything. It was a new kind of coma, and they couldn't even name it.

A nurse tended to the new 'John Doe', a black hedgehod-boy. All he needed was waking, but no-one at the hospital knew how to do this, only one person could do this, and he didn't even know that his casualty wasn't a fatality.


Getting back to Chao Tower, Amy ran inside, Tails was about to join her, but saw Ame walking, soaked, and looking vacantly ahead.

"Ame, come on, you'll catch your death!" he called.

"I am dead, inside, my outside just has to catch up." He took a drink from the bottle he was carrying. Amy saw this, and ran out to drag Ame inside. "Hello pretty pink lady." Ame said, he was slurring his speach.

"He's drunk, stinking drunk!" between them they dragged him up to his apartment.

The door was opened by Sapphire who saw his brothers state.

"Whats wrong with him?" Amy demanded. "He doesn't drink, and hasn't since he met Luc!"

"Luc, Lucas, Star of my lfe, gone," Ame burst out laughing, then ran to the bathroom to throw up.

"They must've broken up..." Paz said. Coming out of the bathroom, Ame said,

"I'm going out again."

"No, you're getting changed. Someone make him some coffee." Tails pushed Ame into his room, and followed. The rain stopped, and a warm sun had come out. Paz put the kettke on, but made Peppermint tea for his bro.

Leaving his room, Ame was wearing faded blue jeans and a black sweatshirt. He sat down and Paz gave him the drink. A knock sounded at th door, then Loki and Tikal walked in. Seeing what Ame was wearing, both were speachless for a second. Finally Loki said,

"Ame, you ok?"

"No. I'm going to the roof." A little more sober now, Ame went straight to the lift, then up.

"I'm worried about him," Tikal said.

"He broke up with Luc, or vice-versa." Paz filled in.

"We need to cheer him up. get everyone here, and Sapphire, get some Archers and some vodka." Amy gave orders.

"You sure that'll help?" Sapphire asked.

"No," Amy shrugged, "But if he's planning on drinking, we can at least keep him company."


Horatio had finished his meetings, and was siting in his study, at a console. having checked several companies, he finally found what he was looking for. Reading out loud he said,

"Lucas Star. Worked at Happy Cabs for three years, fired twice, apealed first time on unfair dismissal, won, second time on........ homophobia..... hmm interesting." reading further he found an address for his target.

Fenrir knocked then entered carrying a tray of food.

"I've taken the liberty of preparing you a meal. You haven't eaten since breakfast, so I hope that this is alright" Looking up for a second, Horatio motioned for him to put the tray down and for him to come over.

"Look at this, what do you see?"

"A job profile for a taxi driver."

"Yes, but I see oppourtunity, and I'm not going to pass it by. When is my next day you can clear?"

"Thursday, but if I do, then you'll be working all weekend. However, I can clear Friday through Sunday instead?"

"Yes, that wouldbe much better." Horatio nodded.

"Why do you want this time?" Fenrir couldn't help but ask.

"I have plans you don't need to hear. Why not take the weekend off yourself?"

"No thank you, why would I need it?"

"You could see your family maybe?"

"If I want to see them, I'll watch 'Very Minga" [jerry springer, very minga, get it?]. Horatio laughed, but then nodded seriously.

"Well, in that case, I'm sure I can use you in my plan."


Ame was sitting on the roof garden, and had broken into his private stash of Bicardi. He wanted to be alone, but hated drinking by himself. He was about to go back down, when the lift dors opened behind him. Turning he saw all the guys were exiting.

"Wha?" Ame wasn't sure if he was seeing straight [but Ame doing anything straight is totally strange].

"If you insist on drinking yourself stupid, we're gopnna make sure you don't do something yo might regret, like jump." Loki showed Ame several bottles. In his mind, the statement was,

"You're to young to drink," but what Ame said was, "Pass the Archers and pull up a seat."

Thinking ahead, D had bought up a C.D. player,and some discs, so a little party had started. Everyone was drinking, even Tails and Klonoa, as Loki was arguing with Mina, and Tikal and D were playing refferee. Ame even joined in the dancing, leading Amy, Rouge, Sonic and Knuckles through a Steps routine [deeper shade of blue for all who care].

Tiring of this a little, Rouge decided to have some fun,

"How about playing 'Truth or Dare'?" she sugested, knocking back a double vodka. This was met with several cheers. "Then lets start. Everyone, sit in a circle." They complied, Ame grabbing a bottle on the way.

"We ready?" Rouge span the bottle on the grond, it stopped on Klonoa. "Truth or dare?"

"Dare." he replied.

"I dare you to.... kiss Tails, on the lips, for tn seconds." she smiled. "This counts as your turn too Tails."

"Erm..." Klonoa shot a nervous glance at Ame, then at Tails.

"Come here!" Tails grabbed Klonoa, and began the kiss. Ten secons passed, then fifteen.

"You can stop now guys," D said, giggling.

"They don't have to if they don't want too!" Loki laughed. Stopping, both boys were a little embarassed.

"Tails and Klonoa, sitting in a tree!" both Amy and Ame sang, falling over.

"Right," Klonoa spun the bottle. Sonic came up.

"Truth." he said.

"When was your last girlfriend?" Going red, Sonic didn't want to answer. "C'mon, if you don't tell us, it's a forefit!"

"Whats the forefit?"

"You have to play out the rest of the game in the nude." Amy suggested.

"I haven't had one." Sonic finally admitted. Knuckles burst out laughing at this. Sonic spun the bottle to get the focus off him, and Amy came up.

"Truth, no dare, no, wait dare. Truth."

"How many guys have you slept with?"

"Erm... about half of the football team." she admitted shyly.

"You complete tart!" Rouge taunted.

"It was an after game celebration. I was drunk." She smiled. "Whose go now?" Spinning it landed between Loki and Knuckles. "Shall we do you together?"

"Sure, dare!" Knux said. Amy whispered something to both of them, dragged them to the lift when they agreed, and called back,

"Carry on without us, this'll take a min." Tails took his spin, and Tikal chose dare.

"Er... drink the rest of the bottle of Vodka in one?" Taking it, she downed the contents, chered, went pale, ran to the edge of the building,shouted,

"Look out below," then threw up. Coming back up quickly, she said, "Oops, he looked up..." This was met with laughter.

By the time this was over, Amy had re-appeard, with both Loki and Knuckles in drag.

"Ladies and gentlemen, may I present, The Pointless Sisters!" she giggled. Both of the guys burst into song [if you don't know who these are, think 'Samuri Pizza Cats'], to the greast amusment of everyone else.

"Who spins now?" Loki asked sitting down.

"You not going to change back?" Mina asked, "You look stupid."

"She's just jealous of your figure, Loki" Paz called.

"I'll spin." Tikal said. The bottle pointed to Ame. "Truth or dare?"

"Truth." Usually Ame was up for anything, but today he didn't fel like making a prat of himself. Thinking for a second, Tikal asked,

"What happened between you and Luc?"

"I don't wanna talk about it." ame made to stand, but just sighed, "I dumped him, said I didn't love him, broke his heart and walked away."

"I don't think either of you believe that you don't love him." Tikal continued. "Why did you really do it?"

"You only get one question." This time, Ame did get up and walk away.

Amy and Tikal followed him.

"You do love him, right?" Tikal asked.

"Yes." Ame was almost in tears.

"And that flame test? [i'll explain to all who don't understand] " Amy said.

"80% married," Ame laughed. "But that's just a game."

"You always tell us to trust your prediction games." Rouge put in.

"I think it's time for bed now." Sapphire said.Sleeping arrangements were worked out quickly. Ame and his bros used his apartment as normal, Loki and Tikal were to share again, Amy had he room, Rouge and Knuckles had her couch, and Klonoa and Tails used D's.


Before sleeping, Sonic spoke to Loki and Knuckles.

"I'm sick of being single. From tomorrow I'm gonna try every girl I see, law of averages, one's bound to like me. The only girls who're safe are Amy, cus she's way out there, Rouge of cosre," he nodded at Knux, "and Tikal, cus, well, she's so freaky."

"Yeah, I pity the guy she ends up with." Knux agreed. Sonic and Knuckles laughed, Loki just smiled. It wouldn't do to give too much away.


Tails and Klonoa sat next to each other, both kinda embaressed by the earlier antics.

"About what happened....." Tails began.

"It was a drunken kiss, right?" Klonoa sighed. "It meant nothing, I know."

"Maybe not, but this one means I want to go further." True to his word, Tails kissed Klonoa again. With both more sober now, and with no pressure, the kiss was much better for both of them. When they parted, Klonoa said,

"Wow. Does this mean?"

"Yes, but lets not go public, lets just see how it goes."


The next morning, Ame was up early, well on time, dressed in two tone purple jeans, and a short sleeved purple denim shirt, and taking a hangover cure. Loki was also up, and he too had a bad head. He was dressed in his standard jeans and today was sporting a Cardcaptors coverd sweat shirt.

"Take this, it should clear that up." handing him a couple of tablets, Ame was making more. "Damn, I'm out of Willow bark, could you nip out and get me some please?"

"Wow, that really works. Sure, where from?"

"Top Hat And Broomstick. It's next to Neko-chat" [ok, crap names for a herbalist and anime shop, but I DON'T CARE!] Remembering that Neko-chat had a delivery due, Loki readily agreed. Making breakfast, Ame knew that no-one would be in school today, and everyone would want something for a bad head.

The guys started getting up at 10:00, but Loki still wasn't back.

"You got anything for a hangover?" Paz asked holding his head.

"Only paracetemol, Loki went out for my Willow bark about an hour ago, but I think the anim,e shop he goes to gets its delivery today. Sorry"

"The I'll just have..." Sapphire began.

"Three rounds of toast, coffee, white four sugar, and two paracetemol?"

"How'd you know that?"

"It's what you always used to have after a night out." said Ame handing him a tray. Someone knocked, and assuming it was Loki, Ame called "Come in." When no-one did, Ame checked and saw a small parcel. About to open it, Ame was distacted by the appeaerance of the rest of the guys, all in pj's, all looking terrible.

Finally at 11:00, Ame got slightly worried about Loki, but also wanted to fix things with Luc. He could wait another half hour. remembering the parcel, he opened it, and looked inside. Seeing he contents he fell to his knees.

"Ame?" Paz asked, standing.

"Luc, somethings happened to him." in the box was a video tape, and a small Amethyst heart on a Silver chain.


Just noticed, most cliffhangers are Ame or Loki based, oh well :)
