Valin and Ozzie 2

Ozzie looks down at the small map in his hand, and the tiny, almost perfectly round red circle he placed about a street. He blinks up at the building before him. "...This looks right, I suppose..." Slowly he moves up the stairs, gently knocking on the door he reaches.
Valin, who is seated on his couch/bed in jeans with no shirt, glances over at the door, hrming. He scowls, "If it's about the rent I ain't got it."
Ozzie blinks, "...Valin? Is that you...?"
Valin blinks, "...Ozzie?" He stands up, moving over to the door. He can be heard fumbling with the locks for a few moments before he opens the door, "What are you doing here..."
Ozzie mms quietly, "...well, you haven't been at school for a few days. So I wanted to see if you were alright..."
Valin laughs a bit, "You were...concerned? About me?" This concept was a little foreign...
Ozzie blinks and him, nodding. "...well...yes..."
Valin, still laughing a bit, steps back, shaking his head. "Yeah, well you don't need to be."
Ozzie watches him, "...so, you're alright? You're not sick or anything, are you?"
Valin smirks, repeating something his aunt had once told him, "Not sick anywhere but up here," he gingerly taps his temple.
Ozzie blinks once again, a bit unsure what to say to that. After a moment, he shakes his head, "..then why haven't you been at school...?"
Valin shrugs, "Didn't wanna go... had some things on my mind, ya know?"
Ozzie mms a bit, giving a small nod, "Ah.."
Valin crosses his arms, "You can come in if you want, ya know, you don't have to stand in the doorway.
Ozzie smiles slightly, hesitantly stepping inside. "Thank you..."
Valin knocks the door shut with his foot, then moves, walking a few steps before flopping lazily upon the couch. The apartment wasn't much to look at...dirty and old with dark stains on the walls and a leak in the roof. But hey, it was home.
Ozzie watches Valin silently, after a moment leaning, though not heavily, against a wall, glancing about silently.
Valin scowls as one of the lights flickers. "There has to be something else besides concern that got you over here...so what is it?"
Ozzie blinks, turning his attention back to Valin, "...something else....?"
Valin nods, "Yeah. I mean, no one'd trek through this part of town just out of concern."
Ozzie mms quietly, "...well....I did..."
Valin raises an eyebrow, "...Seriously?" Ozzie looks up at him, nodding a bit. "...yeah..because, I mean...I don't even really have any friends. So I figure that if only one person's going to be nice to me, I should at least take the time to make sure they're alright..."
Valin, caught a little off-guard. "I...see..."
Ozzie nods, brushing back some of his hair and saying nothing afterwards.
Valin shifts, crossing his left neatly, "...you want a drink or somethin'?"
Ozzie shakes his head, "No, thank you, I'm fine..."
Valin bites his lower lip for a moment. If one would care to look, you may notice he's not wearing his false canines today. "I figured it out though...why you were familiar."
Ozzie cocks his head slightly, watching him, "..mm?"
Valin laughs, "You'll think this is stupid..."
Ozzie shakes his head a bit, "..I won't..."
Valin stands, moving over to a small desk in the corner... This is where he kept most of his things. He digs through the top drawer, searching for something, "My parents died when I was a kid...they said I didn't take it well...I was hysteric for days...I talked to myself..."
Ozzie bites his lip a bit, remaining quiet.
Valin sighs, shaking his head, "They said I did a lot of sketches...and I sounded like someone was there with me... I didn't want to be alone." He finally finds what he was searching for, pulling it out. "This is one of the sketches I kept. Look." He hands it to Ozzie... ((It's actually a very good sketch I've decided. But he doesn't like to draw anymore. Makes him kinda weird.))
Ozzie gently takes a hold of the picture, looking down at it and frowning.
Valin laughs, shaking his head and turning away, "I spoke to you..only it wasn't you.." ((He's not crazy ^^' ))
Ozzie continues to look at the picture, a small shiver running up his spine. He makes a small noise 'mm'ing noise.
Valin smiles to himself, "You were wearing these beautiful robes and...and you told me everything would be fine..."
Ozzie looks up at Valin, remaining silent and waiting for him to continue, if he had any more to say. Ever few moments he glances back to the drawing.
Valin crosses his arms, "I was sad when you went away. I missed you more than I ever missed my parents. The older I got...I thought I must have been crazy. Until now."
Ozzie swallows, running a hand through his hair. "...then..what do you think this is...? I don't know what to make of it, myself..."
Valin shakes his head, turning to look at Ozzie "You don't understand. This means there is more to it than I thought. This means...this means something spectacular is going to happen," he smiles.
Ozzie blinks, still rather confused and unsure, "...what...?"
Valin shrugs, "We'll have to wait and see."
Ozzie looks back at the picture for a moment more before holding it out to Valin. "...this is very strange...." he says quietly.
Valin takes it from Ozzie, handling it with care. "It's better than nothing happening..."
Ozzie nods a bit, "I suppose.."
Valin shrugs, "And...it proves I'm not crazy."
Ozzie smiles slightly, "I knew you weren't..."
"You were the only one."
Ozzie hms quietly, "...was I?"
Valin smiles, "Yeah...even I doubted myself."
Ozzie looks at him quietly for a moment, becoming slightly red just from looking at him.
Valin watches him, raising an eyebrow, "...something wrong?"
Ozzie shakes his head, "..no, nothing."
Valin sighs, "But we'll just have to see how this turns out, hm?"
Ozzie nods, "..I guess so."
