Vayl and Ciato

Vayl moves from the gym and to the outside, scowling quite a bit, her high ponytail bouncing. Besides her expression, she looks like the typical blonde ditz cheerleader, her usual ringlets still framing her face, and a large bow in her hair. She carries her backpack on one shoulder.
Ciato walks off the track, gingerly touching a towel to his face, despite the fact that he is not even sweating. Oh well, typical athlete action after practice. He shrugs to himself, looking up in time to see the many cheerleaders departing from the gym.
Vayl inches away from all the other girls, who are giggling uncontrollably. She glances up, noticing Ciato.
Ciato leaves the dry towel to hang about his thin neck, at the same time brushing back his long insipid locks. Despite the twin ties holding it back, his hair is starting to come free.
Vayl continues to watch him, glancing back at the group of girls who are also looking in the direction of Ciato, chattering about his looks and other such things. Mming a bit, she slowly begins walking over to Ciato to warn him about the other cheerleaders.
Ciato lowers his head, feeling their eyes upon him. A slight redness plays over his cheeks...
Vayl cocks her head slightly as she approaches him, indicating the other girls with a faint point of a finger, "..I just came to warn you about the morons...they may start bothering you, and their stupidity isn't really good for anyone's mental health..."
Ciato raises his head, looking at Vayl. Once again he brushes back his hair, though it manages to tumble downward again. "Oh....thanks..." Though why anyone would want to talk to him was beyond him.
Vayl smiles a bit, holding out her hand, "Think nothing of it. Anyways, my name is Vayl."
Ciato looks at her hand for a moment, taking her hand. Though, rather than shaking it, he lifts her hand, kissing it with soft lips like some Victorian gentleman. "It's a pleasure. I'm Ciato."
Vayl blinks a bit, smiling slightly, "I'm very glad to see you're not some slob like some of the other track members I've met. Not that I was expecting you to be, of course."
Ciato shrugs, "Oh, they're alright..." He hardly knew them well enough to say that.
Vayl mms a bit, "Some of them. And some of them are just as bad as the cheerleaders..."
Ciato hrms, "Well you don't seem so bad..for a cheerleader." He smiles a bit, the expression charming.
Vayl smiles herself, watching him for a long while before replying, "I'm forced into it...so I try not to sink down to their level."
Ciato laughs, silent for a moment. He tries not to speak lest he has something worth saying. "Well said."
Vayl gives a half shrug, still smiling and looking him over for a moment, "You look familiar....do we have any classes together?"
Ciato blinks, looking her over in return. "I...don't believe so..."
Vayl puts a finger to her lips, after a moment shaking her head, "I suppose it doesn't matter, really."
Ciato is silent for a moment, trying to think. "Well..perhaps we have some courses together...I admit I haven't been overly observant these past few days."
Vayl smiles, "No one can always pay attention to everything at all times.. what classes are you taking?"
Ciato hrms, "Well...Track...Theater Arts, English Three Honors.." He lists these thoughtfully, trying to remember each class’s correct name.
Vayl shakes her head a bit, "Not in any of those three...."
"United States History, Algebra Two, Physics...all honors."
Vayl smiles, "I'm in all three of those...what periods?"
Ciato hrms, "Third, fourth and fifth."
Vayl ahs, "Well then, knowing you makes sense. I'm guessing we have those classes together."
Ciato nods, "Perhaps...well, that's nice to know." He offers another smile, though it is fleeting.
Vayl hms a bit, glancing at a watch about her wrist, "...you have C Lunch, right?"
Ciato nods, "That's right."
Vayl mms, smiling, "Well, maybe you want to eat lunch together sometime? Sadly, I have to get going home...."
Ciato smiles, "That sounds....nice."
Vayl smiles a bit more herself, nodding, "Great! I guess I'll see you tomorrow then, Ciato." She turns to head off, offering him a wave.
Ciato watches her go, smiling to himself...a line coming to mind, which he says softly to himself, "To what shall I compare thine eye? Crystal is muddy..."
