Corbett and Kin 19
Kin knocks on the door to Corbett's dorm room, waiting a few moments and knocking again. "Where is he??"
Corbett doesn't hear her, as he is in the bath in the other room, practically dead to the world. The small black cat is sitting neatly on the rim of the bathtub, mewing quietly. She nuzzles Corbett's face, causing the boy to smile slightly.
Kin crosses her arms, suddenly smiling and digging about in her pocket, producing a paperclip. "Always be resourceful!" she says happily to herself, unwinding the metal and shoving it into the lock. After a few moments of fiddling with it, the lock clicks, and she opens the door. "I'll just wait for him to come back from wherever..." She walks into the room.
Corbett smiles at the small black cat, touching his nose to hers. The cat mews pertly. He laughs.
Kin blinks, hearing the noise and walking over to the source.
Corbett doesn't hear her and picks up the soap from the rim, lathering his hands. "Kin, you should be careful." The cat meows a few times, quietly.
Kin blinks at hearing her name, slowly opening the door.
Corbett looks up at the sound of the old door creaking open. He yelps, "K..Kin!?!" He sinks down into the bathtub, "What do you think you're doing?!" He blushes heavily.
Kin covers her eyes quickly...but looks at him through the slits between her fingers. "Oh!! A bubble
bath! I love bubble baths! Can I...oh..wait a sec...."
Corbett sinks more into the water, "Kin...I locked the door for a reason..."
Kin hehs, "...should I leave?"
Corbett scowls, "You...." The cat takes a few steps toward Kin, slipping and falling into the water with a splash and a loud yowl. Corbett yelps, lifting the soaking cat up out of the water, "KIN! Be careful!"
Kin blinks. "...nani?? What the heck do you mean?????"
Corbett looks up, holding the wet, mewing cat. "Hrm..?"
Kin blinks, looking at the kitten and pointing at it. "...Kin....?"
Corbett blushes a little, "Yeah, well...she reminds me of you."
Kin bites her lip, looking down. "..how?"
Corbett smiles, "You're both stupid." He hugs the cat lightly, letting her jump down onto the floor.
Kin looks up at him, sticking out her tongue. "Why thank you. I'll remember that's what you think of me in the future..." She turns towards the door, looking back at the kitten. "Come on, Kin, let's let Corb-kun finish his bath."
Corbett laughs, watching the cat run along after Kin.
Kin closes the door quietly behind her, jumping down onto Corbett's bed and sitting. She turns bright red, finally realizing what had just happened. "Oh jeeze, I almost saw you naked!!" she yelps.
Corbett comes out into the room a few moments later, dressed in a white t-shirt and black shorts. He dries his hair with a towel. "Well....."
Kin looks down. "I'm sorry!!! I didn't mean to!! I-I..erm..."
Corbett sighs, "Kin...the next time I lock the door will you leave it locked...."
Kin hehs. "I thought no one was in..so I was just gonna pick the lock and wait for you..."
Corbett tosses the towel into a laundry basket near his bed. He looks very unkempt, but smiles faintly, "Baka yarou...."
Kin looks up, smiling. "Well that isn't very nice at all."
Corbett shrugs, "Yeah well...that's not my nature."
Kin shakes her head. "Anyways, how are you doing? I just kinda wanted to check up on ya and stuff..."
Corbett smiles faintly, turning and moving to the window, "I'm....glad to see you too."
Kin watches him quietly. "...is anything wrong, Corb?"
Corbett shakes his head, "I...Iie...."
Kin hms. "...are you sure....?"
Corbett nods, leaning against the wall.
Kin gives a quiet sigh, lying back on the bed. "You know, you can always tell me what is wrong, no matter what."
Corbett nods, '"I know that...."
Kin closes her eyes. "Alright...good. So, your grades still as perfect as ever?"
Corbett shrugs, "Classes are as easy as usual."
Kin sighs. "Lucky...."
Corbett laughs, "Kin, I can tutor you if you need help."
Kin blinks, looking up. "...really?? That would be great! Then I could see you more -and- I could actually get better grades!" She jumps off the bed, running over to him and hugging him. "Thanks!"
Corbett blinks, tensing a little, "Eh....no problem..."
Kin laughs, releasing him. "Get used to the hugs, Corbett."
Corbett blushes, "Yeah..."
