Ketsueki and Aisoku 9

Aisoku lies in his bed, his face buried in his pillow, his alarm clock going off but doing nothing to awaken him. It's his first day to return to school, but that doesn't seem to phase the sleeping figure.
Ketsueki, who has been up and around for quite a while, hears the alarm clock and slowly opens Aisoku's door, poking his head in. His ears twitch in irritation at the sound of the alarm.
Aisoku still doesn't stir, snoring quietly. Though that sound is masked by the much louder noise produced by his alarm clock.
Ketsueki smiles slightly, moving into the room. He glances at the clock, bending down slightly to look at it closer. He tries in vain to turn off the alarm.
Aisoku raises his head wearily as Ketsueki knocks the alarm clock off the table, causing a loud bang, but also causing the alarm to fall silent. He yawns, "Wha- huh?'
Ketsueki gives a tiny sigh of relief as the alarm shuts off. "Finally.." he mutters, turning to glance at Aisoku.
Aisoku blinks, rubbing his head, "What time is it? And what did you do to my clock...?"
Ketsueki looks irritantly at the clock. "It wouldn't shut up.....and..I dunno what time it is."
Aisoku laughs, "You could've just turned it off.." he snatches up a small watch from his bedside table. He yelps, "7:00!?!?! Class starts in 15 minutes!" he leaps out of bed, moving over to his closet, "oh crap, oh crap, oh crap, oh crap..."
Ketsueki blinks, watching Aisoku with slight confusion. "...is that..bad..?"
Aisoku digs through his closet, "HAI! I'm gonna be late on my first day back! Where is it?!"
Ketsueki continues to watch him silently.
Aisoku emerges from his closet with a school uniform in his hands, the outfit a dark pink in shade
The corners of Ketsueki's lips twitch up into an amused smile. "Nice color..."
Aisoku sticks out his tongue, "Oh shut up." He quickly pulls off his tank top, which he had slept in the previous night, and begins putting on his shirt. He starts to take off his shorts, then stops. He blushes, "Turn around for a sec, Ket-chan?"
Ketsueki turns red as well, turning about quickly.
Aisoku adorns the rest of his uniform, then hugs Ketsueki from behind, "Arigato."
Ketsueki blushes a bit more. "H-hai...so...what are you doing...?"
Aisoku releases Ketsueki quickly, moving toward his door, "I gotta grab breakfast, then I have to go to school. Have you eaten yet?"
Ketsueki slowly shakes his head. "Iie...but...what is that?"
Aisoku smiles, grabbing Ketsueki's hand and leading him down the hall to the kitchen. "What is what?"
Ketsueki follows him. "School."
Aisoku laughs, turning to look at Ketsueki, "School...school is, how to explain this...school is where human kids go to learn things."
Ketsueki hms quietly. "That's stupid."
Aisoku smiles, "Hai, I agree. But I still have to go." He shakes his head, quite amused, and leads Ketsueki into the empty kitchen.
Ketsueki continues to follow. "If you think it's stupid why do you go?"
Aisoku searches through the pantry for a few minutes before producing two rice balls. He tosses one to Ketsueki. "I have to. It's a law."
Ketsueki catches the ball. "...how? They can't make you go, can they...?"
Aisoku nibbles at the rice ball, "Hai. They could put Mom in jail if I don't go."
Ketsueki hns, taking a bite. "That's stupid, too."
Aisoku sighs, eating the rice ball, "Yes, well there's not a lot I can do about that..." He smiles, "I'm sorry I can't stay here with you...you'll be alone most of the day."
Ketsueki frowns slightly. "...how long do they keep you there?"
Aisoku laughs meekly, "Only seven hours..."
Ketsueki scowls even more. Humans were most definitely the stupidest species on the plant... "Oh...alright..."
Aisoku quickly finishes the rice ball, "I really am sorry...." He picks up a leather school bag from the table. A small fox key chain is on his bag.
Ketsueki gives a tiny shrug. "Not your fault..."
Aisoku smiles, putting his arm through Ketsueki's, "Walk me to school?" He leans on Ketsueki's shoulder.
Ketsueki blushes slightly. "If you'd like.."
Aisoku nods, "C'mon...I can show you the way there."
Ketsueki nods slowly. "Alright..."
Aisoku walks out to the doorway. He puts on his shoes, which were previously left by the door. "We gotta hurry though," he releases Ketsueki's arm, opening the door.
Ketsueki nods slowly, putting on his small slipper-like shoes and following Aisoku.
Aisoku holds his back, moving out onto the main road. He smiles, "Hope you can keep up."
Ketsueki gives a tiny nod, "Hai, I think I can manage.."
Aisoku grins, taking off quickly down the road. Classes start in three minutes... "Come and catch me!"
Ketsueki smiles, dashing after Aisoku.
Aisoku runs quickly down the path, weaving through the crowds. Every few moments he looks back to see if Ketsueki is still there
Ketsueki follows rather steadily in a slight sprint, his eyes always on Aisoku. Gradually he moves closer, though it doesn't look as though he's running too hard.
Aisoku smiles, looking back at Ketsueki. He also appears quite at ease with the current speed. As he looks back at the elder boy, he collides with another boy in the same school uniform, falling back with a yelp. The boy turns out to be his brother Karusu. Karusu turns, growling, "You idiot..."
Ketsueki stops quickly as soon as he reaches Aisoku, scowling at Karusu in silence for a long while. "Are you alright, Aisoku?"
Aisoku looks slightly dazed, but he smiles weakly, "H-Hai...." He yelps as Karusu kicks him hard in the ribs, sneering, "Watch where you're going, and keep that canine boy toy of yours on a leash, would you." He turns, walking off slowly.
Ketsueki hisses, running after the other boy. He whirls him around, harshly grabbing him by the neck and digging his fingernails into the soft flesh.
Karusu cries out in pain, "Let me...go...you freak...." Aisoku stands slowly, "Ket-chan! Karusu-san! Don't fight!" His expression bears hurt.
Ketsueki tightens his grip slightly, murmuring. "I'm not fighting. I'm attacking."
Karusu screams, "Ah! Stop!" Aisoku shakes his head, "Ket-chan stop! You're hurting him!"
Ketsueki gives a tiny smirk, tightening his grip even more. "Good..."
Karusu tries to ply Ketsueki's hand from his neck. Aisoku grabs Ketsueki's arm, trying to pull him away from his brother, "Ket-chan please stop!"
Ketsueki squeezes Karusu's neck one last time before releasing him. He turns, heading back towards Aisoku's house. "Do, or say something like that again, and I'll kill you."
Aisoku wipes his eyes, "Ket-chan...Karusu-san..." he shakes his head, turning and running off toward the school.
Ketsueki flinches slightly at hearing Aisoku, but continues to walk off, his ears flat.

Ketsueki sits quietly on the bed in the room his occupies, quietly sharpening his fingernails on the edge of his scythe. His tail still swishes in agitation.
Aisoku quietly peaks his head in Ketsueki’s door, frowning, "K...Ket-chan?"
Ketsueki glances up for a moment, then goes back to his task. "Nani?"
Aisoku slips in the door, still wearing his uniform and holding his bag. "I...I'm sorry about this morning...Karusu-san...h...he didn't mean it...."
Ketsueki hns, responding sarcastically. "I'm sure he didn't. If he didn't mean it, then I didn't mean it either."
Aisoku closes the door, leaning on it, "Ket-chan...h..he really didn't...I mean..."
Ketsueki doesn't respond this time, looking at one of his now sharp nails and moving on to another.
Aisoku sighs, his shoulders slumping, "Ket-chan....please try to understand...he..he just has trouble controlling his anger..."
Ketsueki hns. "Then I suppose I do to."
Aisoku frowns, "Ketsueki...please...-please- don't hurt my big brother...."
"Give me one good reason that he doesn't deserve to be killed."
Aisoku flinches, "...K..Ket-chan...."
Ketsueki accidentally cuts his finger, stopping to watch the blood flow slowly from the wound. "You're acting like a child, Aisoku."
Aisoku frowns, "H...How so?"
Ketsueki continues to look at his finger. "Children deny many facts because they think they can see good in others...good that isn't there."
Aisoku flinches, "You...you don't have any siblings...you don't understand...."
Ketsueki looks at Aisoku. "I understand perfectly. You should start trying to understand, too."
Aisoku wipes his eyes, slumping down to sit by the door. "...You don't know Karusu-san..."
"And neither do you, if I'm understanding what you think correctly."
Aisoku frowns, closing his eyes. "Ket-chan....please don't do this to me..."
Ketsueki growls. "What? Point the truth out for you?" He puts his finger in his mouth for a moment to rid it of the blood.
Aisoku looks up, noting Ketsueki's gesture. He frowns, "You cut your hand..."
Ketsueki shrugs. "So what? It's tiny."
Aisoku frowns, lowering his head.
Ketsueki, after a moment, lies back on his bed. "He hurt you..." he murmurs quietly.
Aisoku touches his ribs gently, flinching. "....It's not bad..."
Ketsueki scowls slightly. "No one should hurt you...."
Aisoku sighs, but says nothing.
Ketsueki closes his eyes, thinking over many things and talking quietly to himself...hopefully too quite for Aisoku to hear. "I shouldn't stay here...."
Aisoku hears his words, flinching. "Ket-chan..."
Ketsueki sighs quietly. "I don't belong, Ai. You know that as well as I do."
Aisoku feels tears dampen his lashes, "Then...Then I'll come with you...Please..."
Ketsueki runs a few fingers though his hair. "A-Ai...."
Aisoku doesn't wipe his tears away, wearing them as he watches Ketsueki. "Please...I'd miss you to much...Ket-chan.."
Ketsueki closes his eyes tightly, remaining silent.
Aisoku clenches his fists in his lap, closing his eyes, "Ket-chan...please don't leave me...I don't want to be here without you..."
Ketsueki flinches. "....I don't know..." he murmurs after a long while.
Aisoku cries quietly, saying nothing.
Ketsueki slowly sits, looking over at Aisoku.
Aisoku opens his eyes, "I'll go anywhere to stay with you Ket-chan..."
Ketsueki blushes slightly, slowly standing and moving over to Aisoku. He sits beside him, leaning his head on the other boy's shoulder. "Don't cry, Aisoku...."
Aisoku looks at him, "I...I can't help it....that's another that makes me like a kid, huh...."
Ketsueki gently wraps his arms about Aisoku's waist, sighing. "I'm sorry I upset you."
Aisoku leans into Ketsueki, "No...I want you to do what you want...but please don't leave here unless I can come with you...Ket-chan please..."
Ketsueki slowly shakes his head. "I wouldn't leave you..."
Aisoku closes his eyes, "I don't know what I should do, Ket-chan...I know you don't like it here..."
Ketsueki flinches slightly. "....you belong here..."
Aisoku frowns, "I'm not so sure I do..."
Ketsueki shakes his head. "But I could never take you back to the Makai.."
Aisoku frowns, "Why not?"
Ketsueki frowns. "...it's..not what you're used to. It's totally different....you can't trust people..and plus, most demons aren't exactly fond of humans..."
Aisoku flinches, "I...I'm not fully human...and I could adapt..."
Ketsueki shakes his head. "Iie...I don't want you to have to."
Aisoku frowns, "Then..."
Ketsueki sighs. "Then I suppose I'll have to try to get used to it here, ne?"
Aisoku sighs, "But then you have to adapt to this...and that's not fair to you Ket-chan...."
Ketsueki gives a small shrug. "I've learned life isn't fair. And I've adapted to many other things."
Aisoku sighs, "Why do things have to be so far..."
Ketsueki hms. "I don't know, but there is no point in wondering."
Aisoku frowns, "Ket-chan..."
Ketsueki glances at Aisoku. "Nani?"
Aisoku buries his head in Ketsueki's shoulder, "Aishiterou...."'
Ketsueki blushes slightly. "H-hai...Aishiteru...."
"Whatever you decide...I'll stay with you, Ket-chan..."
Ketsueki gives a small nod. "T-thank you...a lot, Ai..."
Aisoku smiles, going silent.
Ketsueki gives a quiet sigh, leaning slightly on Aisoku.
