"Alternate Dimensions" - The Sonic Universes explained.

Tush, foolish humans, you think Sonic is MERELY about jumping about and collecting Golden rings? Think again, gremlins. Like most popular things, different countries and different directors can't resist to have a good old fiddle with the storyline or characters inside a series. Sonic the Hedgehog is no exception, read on to learn whyyyyyy ...: Sonic the Hedgehog - The Original Universe (THE GAMES, THE ANIMÉ): This is where it all began in 1991 in Japan. The character around Sonic and Dr.Eggman was designed by Sonic's physical designed, Natao Ohshima and was programmed in-game by Yuji Naka. The games feature Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower, Knuckles the Echidna, Amy Rose, Dr.Eggman and lots of others (too many to list here). Most people consider this storyline to be best and are very biased against the other universes claiming they are "inferior" when compared to this universe (also known as SEGASONIC or SONIC TEAM - SONIC). Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog - The 1st Cartoon (SYNDICATED CARTOON): The first cartoon produced in Sonic's hayday in 1993. The show features Sonic, Tails, "Dr. Robotnik" (Dr.Eggman) and two robots, Scratch and Grounder. Many fans don't like the style of drawing or the attitude of the show, considering it to childish (also known as AOSTH). Sonic The Hedgehog - The 2nd Cartoon (ABC CARTOON): Produced in unison with the cartoon mentioned above. The second most popular universe, fans enjoyed this universe due to it's "compelling storyline" and "detailed animation". Other enjoy it because Sonic "expresses his true feelings". The show features "Sonic Hedgehog", "Tails Fox", Princess Sally Acorn, Rotor the Walrus, Antoine D'Colette, "Dr. Robotnik" (Dr.Eggman), Dulcy Dragon and others (also known as SATAM). Sonic The Hedgehog - The Archie Comic (USA COMIC): Produced in 1993, this comic has mixed feeling around it. Some think it is a travesty of both the Original Universe and the 2nd Cartoon, mixing it them together. Other think it is an excellent story (usually younger fans). It contains all the characters from the 2nd Cartoon and some from the games (also known as ARCHIE and ARCHIE-SONIC). Sonic The Comic - The Fleetway Comic (UK COMIC): Produced in 1993, like the USA one, it has been based a little more on the Original Universe but there is defiantly differenetation inside. This comic features Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Porker  Lewis, Johnny Lightfoot, Amy Rose,  Metallix (Metal-Sonic), Dr. Robotnik (Dr.Eggman) and many others (also known as STC). Sonic Underground - The Third Cartoon (DISNEY/DIC CARTOON): Produced in 1998, this cartoon is considered by Satam fans as a "shut up and eat this you Satam fans!" production. Understandable really, because most people find this cartoon complete rubbish, but there are fan bases out there. Characters include: Sonic, Manic the Hedgehog, Sonia the Hedgehog, Sleet, Dingo and Dr.Robotnik (also known as SU). Go back to the slug fest!
