Wolf's Rain

This is a new series. Only a few episodes have been released on the fansub network. So there is a possibility that this might be just a passing fancy... but I doubt it. It has bishounen, it has wolves... bishounen who are really wolves... what's not to love?

Both the animation and music are done by the same people that did Cowboy Bebop. And if you haven't seen Cowboy Bebop, you really should... (especially the last two episodes, which might just be the prettiest I've ever seen.) The animation is beautifully done, and the soundtrack is just as good, if not better.

As much as I can tell, here's the story so far:

Wolves have been thought to be extinct for over 200 years now, but in reality, they have just learned how to adopt human form. I want to learn how they do this. I'm don't think it's an actual physical change. Dogs can see their true form, they leave paw prints, and their shadow is still that of a wolf.

There are four main wolves. All have been drawn to where they are because they smelt flowers from the direction of city. There is about a legend of a girl born of flowers and a wolf who are drawn together. Apparently this girl is the key to finding the "rakuen," or paradise. She is being kept in a laboratory in the heart of the city. When the girl is stolen by a "kizoku" (nobleman), the four wolves come together, and form a sort of pack, and go off to search for her/paradise.

Kiba - "fang":
For now Kiba seems to be the leader of the pack.

Hige - "whisker":

Tsume - "claw" (or "leatherboy"):
