Is the unborn child's father involved? How is he involved? Not at all...
If he's not involved, why not? It was the first time I had ever fooled (meaning not with a guy I was dating) and I just happened to get pregnant. So he thinks its not his kid... I'm not pursuing him about it though...Why upset all of our lives?

Have you been to a doctor for prenatal care yet? Yup...
Any health problems during this pregnancy? Not so far.
Has this pregnancy been emotionally difficult? Yes... Mostly cause I'm scared of what's to come... The rest is just because of the emotional rollercoaster that I'm on.
Do you have any support at home? (family, friends) Yes, my mom and step-dad.
What has been the most difficult experience as a pregnant young woman your age? The comments and looks people give you.
Is your family being helpful/supportive? Some of them are ...but some are very objective.
Are you on public assistance? Not right now, but will be.
If so, how does that make you feel? I never wanted things to be that way. But the only way that I can further my education and still provide for my child is to be on some kind of public assistance.
Is the father's family involved with the pregnancy? Emotionally, financially, or both? No.
Do you feel accepted by people your age since you've become pregnant? Some are good about it... but some are cruel saying that only sluts and stuff get pregnant at a young age.

What do you feel is the general public perception of your being pregnant at the age you are? I feel that in the public eye they mostly just think I'm to young and its a shame.
How are you treated in public? (doctors, grocery store, mall, etc..) Nobody is rude some people just look at me though.
How did you feel once you realized you were pregnant? I was sad, cause I knew that I was too young and the baby wouldn't have a real father. I was scared cause I didn't know what was going to happen. But I was happy because I knew that this was my child and I would do anything to get this baby through life and have a good life.
Any regrets? In a way I wish that it had never happened. But I always try to have a positive outlook on things.

How do you think being a Young Mother will change you? I know I'll be more sensitive to others needs.
How do you think society looks upon teen pregnancy in general? I think that they think it's a shame that so many teens are getting pregnant now days.
Why do you think there are so many teen parents? There's no real answer to that. Many people might say that its because they are rebels or people trying to get attention. But that's not true cause even the most innocent and thoughtful people get pregnant.
